  • Publication number: 20050037926
Abstract: The invention relates to pesticide preparations containing copolymers. Said preparations are obtained by the copolymerisation of a) glycerol, b) at least one dicarboxylic acid and c) at least one monocarboxylic acid according to formula (I): R1—COOH, wherein R1 represents (C5-C29) alkyl, (C7-C29) alkenyl, phenyl or naphthyl. The copolymers increase the biological activity of the pesticides. Said pesticides preferably take the form of herbicides.

  • Patent number: 5417187
Abstract: A method to adjust the angular position of a camshaft, which is related to the arc of a crankshaft rotation, to a setpoint angular position with the help of a final controlling element that is triggered by an actuating signal from a controlling device that becomes operational when a control program is run. The final controlling element is able to be triggered in each case by one of three values of the actuating signal; the re-adjustment rate (v.sub.-- ESTIMATED) of the camshaft is estimated for its level at the beginning of the subsequent program run; from this re-adjustment rate and the known time response (c, v.sub.-- END) of the camshaft re-adjustment, after the switch is made to the actuating signal from the hold value, a special adjustment angle (.alpha..sub.-- ESTIMATED+) is estimated; and the change is already made from the early or late value of the actuating signal to its hold value when the deviation between the adjustment angle (.alpha..sub.

  • Patent number: 4765538
Abstract: An elastic rail bearing for railroad rails includes a top plate, a bottom plate, and a rubber plate disposed inbetween the top and bottom plates, the plates each having a plurality of holes formed therethrough with the holes of one plate being in registered alignment with the holes of the other plates. One or more bolts are provided, each of which is surrounded by a rubber ring with each of the bolts passing through one of the aligned set of holes in the top, bottom and rubber plates and engaging a nut such that an adjustable and variable initial stress may be established in the rail. At least one of the rubber plates, and the top and bottom plates, have a protrusion and the other has a corresponding recess for receiving the protrusion. The top and bottom plates each have a vertical flange which are spaced apart from, extend parallel to, and partially overlap each other. A connecting rubber strip is disposed inbetween the flanges.

  • Patent number: 4751633
Abstract: To prevent change of data in a non-volatile programmable, ready-only memory (25) forming, together with a microprocessor (23) a control unit, for example for an automotive vehicle, while permitting programming of the memory from an external programming unit (P, 1), an interface (3, 11, 12) is provided through which a release-enable bus (13) also passes, data being transmitted in accordance with a predetermined characteristic--even or odd parity--, the parity correctness being checked. If the parity is correct, an "enter" signal is provided on the release-enable bus for storing the data; if not, retransmission is attempted for a predetermined number of time, and if it cannot be correctly effected, a malfunction indication output signal is generated.

  • Patent number: 4086793
Abstract: This invention relates to apparatus for moistening and conditioning sheet materials for example leathers and similar materials. The apparatus comprises two endless moisture-absorbent conveyor belts which come together, in the operation of the apparatus, between a pair of opposed flat presser surfaces. The apparatus comprises means for moistening the conveyor belts and for heating at least one of the flat surfaces. The apparatus also comprises means for moving the flat surfaces apart to permit introduction of material carried between the conveyor belts into the region between the flat surfaces and together to press the material on the belt. By reason of this pressure an intensive heat transfer occurs from the flat surfaces to the conveyor belt whereby the water in the conveyor belt is evaporated and transferred into the leather. The apparatus further comprises drive means whereby the belts are moved to transport the leather or other sheet material only while the flat surfaces are spaced apart.
