Abstract: The invention relates to an excavator and conveyor for an underground jacking apparatus for pipelines having a preferably non-man-sized rated cross section, which is driven into the surrounding soil from a manhole and comprises a digging head and at least one follower, jacking the digging head, and thereafter introducing additional jacked lengths of pipe. Rotating in the end area of the digging head is a digging disc which is set into rotation by a shaft. The shaft is surrounded at a distance by a conveyor tube, the wall of which is compartmentalized with respect to its outer cylindrical jacket in the vicinity of the digging head. Conveyor means are provided in the conveyor tube for conveying the excavated material back to the manhole. Sluice means are also provided in the conveyor cross section between the shaft and the conveyor tube wall, these sluice means serving to prevent incursions of groundwater.

Abstract: An apparatus for below-ground driving of pipeline segments made from lengths of production pipe, especially those having rated pipeline widths that are not man-sized. Driving is effected by means of a driving apparatus, which is disposed in a jacking shaft and from there drives pipeline segments via a thrust bridge. The driving apparatus comprises threaded driving mechanisms disposed parallel to one another in the length of the pipeline segments. By means of the threaded drive mechanisms, the thrust bridge can be moved back and forth, via at least one motor drive means rotating the parallel threaded spindles of the threaded drive mechanisms about their axes of rotation. The field in which the apparatus is used is preferably sewer construction, involving sewer mains and household connection lines branching off from them. Both types of line can be driven forward out of the jacking shafts, in which the apparatus can be brought into a desired driving direction by rotating it in the shaft.

Abstract: The invention refers to an arrangement for underground driving of pipe trains composed of individual pipe lengths of non-man-sized diameters. The arrangement works with a pressing unit driving the pipe trains from driving pits. The soil in face of the arrangement is excavated by means of a scraper. Conveyors transport the excavated waste soil back into the driving pit. The walls of massive material of the pits, which will serve as inspection pits later-on in the pipe trains, when driving are the walls of the driving pits, while the driving unit is propped-up on the wall of the respective driving pit used as a driving pit. The wall of the driving pit has a preferably circular shape and is composed of concrete rings. Above the driving pit a container is arranged with an opening in the bottom through which the driving unit can be hoisted down into the driving pit. In the container all working tools and appliances for operating the driving unit are permanently housed ready for use.
