Abstract: A stabilization device for a hand-held image capture system has (a) a controller for determining the alignment difference between an actual alignment of the image capture system and a target alignment of the image capture system, and (b) a compensation device for compensating the effect of the determined alignment difference on a projected image section. A communication device, in particular an optical display, is provided for communicating the alignment difference concerning pre-definable alignment difference values or ranges of values, such that a user is able, by adjusting the orientation of the image capture system, to steer the alignment difference to a pre-determined or arbitrary value or into a pre-determined range of values. Functions for influencing the target image alignment or for other control purposes may be assigned to a pre-determined range of values.

Abstract: An electronic viewfinder device has two or more electronic displays that produce display images. The display images represent different areas of an image captured by the image sensor of a camera with which the electronic viewfinder is being employed. The display images are combined by optical means to form a viewfinder image, which consists of at least two images on the same scale and represents a view of the image captured by the image sensor of the camera.
