Abstract: Halovinylbenzyl esters of the formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is ##STR2## R.sup.2 is H, CN, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, lower haloalkyl or lower haloalkenyl, R.sup.3 is H, halogen or lower alkyl, R.sup.4 is H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or lower alkoxymethyl, R.sup.5 is lower alkyl, lower hal lk(en)yl or lower haloalkynyl, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are each lower alkyl or halogen, A is halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower haloalkyl, lower haloalkoxy, CN or NO.sub.2, m is 0 to 4, n is 1 to 3, B is lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl or cycloalkyl, and X is H, halogen, lower haloalkyl, lower thioalkyl, lower alkoxy or lower alkyl, and halogen can be fluorine, chlorine or bromine and, in the case of R.sup.2, may furthermore be iodine, a process for their manufacture, and their use as pesticides.

Abstract: Dihalovinylphenyl phosphates of the formula I ##STR1## where A and B are each halogen or trihaloalkyl, X is oxygen or sulfur, Y and Z are each oxygen, sulfur or --NH--, R.sup.1 is alkyl, R.sup.2 is alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl or alkylthioalkyl, and R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 independently of one another are each hydrogen, halogen, nitro, alkyl, cyano, alkoxy, alkoxyalkoxy, alkylthioalkylthio, alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, alkylthio, trihaloalkyl or trihaloalkoxy, and pesticides containing these compounds.

Abstract: Novel carboxylic acid esters of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are identical or different and each is hydrogen, halogen or alkyl or alkenyl of up to 5 carbon atoms,Y is 3-(2,2-dihalogenovinyl)-2,2-dimethyl-cyclopropyl or a radical of the formula ##STR2## where R.sup.4 is unbranched or branched alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl of up to 4 carbon atoms or is an alicyclic radical of 3 to 7 carbon atoms,R.sup.5 is halogen, alkyl or alkoxy of up to 5 carbon atoms, trihalomethyl, cyano or nitro anda is from 0 to 3 andZ is a radical of the formula ##STR3## where X is oxygen, sulfur or --CH.sub.2 --,R.sup.6, R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 are halogen or alkyl, alkoxy or haloalkyl of up to 5 carbon atoms andb, c and d are from 0 to 3, their preparation and their use in insect and arachnid control.

Abstract: Substituted 2,3-dihydrobenzofurylmethyl esters of the formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.8 is hydrogen or alkyl of up to 5 carbon atoms, R.sup.9 is alkyl, haloalkenyl or haloalkynyl, each of up to 5 carbon atoms,R.sup.10 is halogen or alkyl of up to 5 carbon atoms,R.sup.11 is halogen or alkyl of up to 5 carbon atoms, A is halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, trihaloalkyl or trihaloalkoxy, each of up to 5 carbon atoms, cyano or nitro,B is alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl, each of up to 4 carbon atoms, or an alicyclic radical of 3 to 7 carbon atoms and n is from 0 to 3,R.sup.2 is hydrogen, cyano or alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl, each of up to 5 carbon atoms, andR.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are identical or different and each is hydrogen, halogen or alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or alkoxy, each of up to 5 carbon atoms, and R.sup.9 may also be alkenyl of up to 5 carbon atoms if R.sup.2 is cyano or is alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl, each of up to 5 carbon atoms.The novel compounds are useful in pest control.
