  • Patent number: 10568747
Abstract: The invention relates to an operating instrument for minimally invasive or conventional implanting of a spinal implant into the intervertebral space comprising an outer tube which has a hollow handle on its proximal end, wherein the inner rod can be moved in the outer tube and the hollow handle, and the inner rod is provided with a threaded region which extends beyond the distal end of the outer tube, wherein the threaded region serves for fastening to the rear region of an implant and for tensioning the implant with its rear region against the distal end region of the outer tube, wherein the distal end region of the outer tube is at least partially adapted to the rear region of the implant, wherein the tensioning of the implant against the outer tube takes place by means of a tensioning device having a lever.

  • Patent number: 9848991
Abstract: The invention relates to an expandable implant (11) with an upper plate (12) and a lower plate (16) which extend in the xy plane, which serve for anchoring on/in the vertebral support surfaces, and at least three gears (20, 25, 30) which are coupled to each other, wherein the gears (20, 25, 30) serve to expand the implant (11), and each gear (20, 25, 30) has a threaded spindle (21, 25, 31) and a threaded sleeve with corresponding inner thread (22, 27, 32), wherein the pitch of one thread (31, 32) is different from the pitch of the other threads (21, 22; 26, 27). The invention also relates to an operating instrument (80) for this implant.

  • Patent number: 9539106
Abstract: An expandable implant with an upper plate and a lower plate which serve for anchoring on/in the vertebral support surfaces, and at least two gears for the expansion of the implant, which are coupled to each other via toothed wheels. Each gear includes threaded spindles and threaded sleeves, the threaded spindles are connected rigidly to the upper plate, and the threaded sleeves are mounted rotatably in the lower plate, and on one gear a drive shaft is provided, which is connected rigidly to the one threaded sleeve, and wherein a force acting on the drive shaft of an operating instrument can be transferred to the gear by the drive shaft, and the implant includes a mechanism for rigidly securing, screwing or fixing the operating instrument on the implant. The invention also relates to an operating instrument for an implant.
