  • Patent number: 4688776
Abstract: A suspension device for a mobile self-lift drilling platform, comprising a water-tight chamber deformable under the effect of the load supported by the legs of the platform, this chamber being intended to be filled with a pressurized liquid. The deformability of the chamber is provided by its side wall which is formed by a tubular elastomeric element, with a substantially vertical axis, which element is secured to an inner and an outer tubular coaxial metal guide frames for translationally and rotationally guiding its axial, lateral and angular deformations under the effect of the load as well as of possible accidental shocks.

  • Patent number: 4641999
Abstract: A fender for protecting support structures against shocks applied thereto, of an alongside fender type, comprising a rubber piece with appropriate profile adapted for absorbing the shocks and distributing them uniformly over the structure to be protected, which rubber piece is firmly secured by hot galvanization to a rubber frame whose radius is substantially equal to the radius of the structure to be protected, the assembly formed by the piece carried by a frame being fixed to the structure by fixing member integral with the latter, associated possibly with a fixing member integral with the piece and/or with the frame.

  • Patent number: 3948500
Abstract: A rubber shock absorber for a mooring guard comprising a hollow rubber element of revolution having a generally truncated conical shape adhering to a base plate with an angle of inclination A of its conical wall in the order of 60.degree. - 85.degree.. The rubber element has a hollow section with an axial length H and a conical wall with a radial thicknes E so dimensioned that the outer diameter D of the small base of the rubber element at right angles to the hollow section is substantially equal to the inner diameter d of the large base of the section. In this arrangement, the conical wall of the rubber element operates essentially through bending and extension towards the outside under a crushing stress comprising an axial component and provides lateral stability to counteract the tangential components of this stress.
