  • Publication number: 20040011792
Abstract: A filler device, particularly an oil filler device on an internal-combustion engine, has a filler neck and a closing cap closing the filler opening on the filler neck, which closing cap has a cap bottom, a surrounding cap wall originating from the cap bottom, and a centering element arranged in the interior on the closing cap. The centering element interacts with a countercentering element situated on the filler neck. For a good centering of the closing cap on the filler neck, it is provided to arrange the countercentering element at a radial distance with respect to the interior pipe surface of the filler neck and within an end section of the filler neck in the area of the filler opening.

  • Patent number: 6620879
Abstract: A description is given of pulverulent polymer compositions based on polyether carboxylates, which are characterized in that they comprise a) from 5 to 95% by weight of a water-soluble polymer made up of polyoxyalkylene-containing structural units, carboxylic acid and/or carboxylic anhydride monomers and, if desired, further monomers, and b) from 5 to 95% by weight of a finely divided mineral support material having a specific surface area of from 0.5 to 500 m2/g (determined by the BET method in accordance with DIN 66 131). These pulverulent polymer compositions, which can contain up to 90% by weight of polyether carboxylate, have a significantly increased sticking and caking resistance compared to spray-dried products and have further advantages when they are used in cement-containing building material mixtures.

  • Patent number: 6573316
Abstract: Stabilized, water-soluble polymer powders based on polyoxyalkylene glycol carboxylates are described, wherein the powders comprise from 0.01 to 10% by weight of a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of phenols, amines, phosphites, thioethers, and also thioacids, and where the stabilizer was added in liquid or dissolved form to the aqueous polymer solution prior to its conversion into the powder form. The polymer powders thus protected against autoignition and oxidative degradation have unexpectedly high thermooxidative stability, even on exposure to high temperatures and oxidizing action (air, oxygen).

  • Patent number: 6211317
Abstract: Copolymers based on unsaturated dicarboxylic acid derivatives, oxyalkylene glycol alkenyl ethers, unsaturated dicarboximides and/or -amides and vinyl monomers are described, as also their use as additives for hydraulic binders, especially cement. The copolymers also have an excellent plasticizing effect—even if they are added in large quantities—when used in concrete mixtures with an extremely low water content, and they do not retard the setting process.

  • Patent number: 6187887
Abstract: Water-soluble or water-swellable copolymers containing sulfonic groups and based on (meth)acrylamide alkyl sulfonic acids and (meth)acrylamide or N-vinyl compounds are described, as well as their use as additives in aqueous building material mixes or for water-based painting and coating systems. The copolymers of the invention, even when used in relatively small quantities, serve as very effective and highly compatible water retention agents in such building material mixes and surface-coating systems.

  • Patent number: 5891983
Abstract: Water-soluble formaldehyde-free polycondensation products based on amino-s-triazines with at least two amino groups and glyoxylic acid, which contain as further component at least one amino compound and where the molar ratio of amino-s-triazine to glyoxylic acid to amino compound is 1:0.5 to 6.0:0.1 to 2.0. These polycondensation products are excellently suited as additives for aqueous suspensions of inorganic binders, especially cement, lime and gypsum. Building material mixtures which contain these polycondensation products remain workable for a considerably longer time and, in spite of this, also set more quickly.

  • Patent number: 5798425
Abstract: Disclosed is a co-polymer based on oxyalkyleneglycol alkenyl ethers and unsaturated dicarboxylic acid derivatives, as well as vinylic polyalkyleneglycol, polysiloxane or ester compounds. These co-polymers can be used as additives for hydraulic binding agents, especially cement. The co-polymers of the invention have an excellent and long-lasting liquefying action without introducing large amounts of air pores into the binding agent mixtures, thereby preventing the loss of strength and stability of the hardened building materials.

  • Patent number: 4033006
Abstract: Supporting apparatus for a portable bridge including a longitudinally telescoping bridge support leg having an intermediate support member at the free end thereof. A pair of foot plate members are pivotally supported at the intermediate support member and are connected by way of a lever linkage so as to pivot together when moving from a storage position with the undersides of plate members extending longitudinally of the leg and in-use positions with the undersides of the plate members extending transversely of the leg. Elastic band members are attached to the upper sides of the foot plate members to continuously apply a force tending to move the plate members to the in-use position. Rollers are provided at the upper sides of the plate members for engagement with bridge members to forcibly move the plate members to the storage position when the support leg is moved into a storage position underneath the bridge plate portion.

  • Patent number: 4015303
Abstract: Supporting apparatus for supporting bridge portions on a portable bridge of the type including a plurality of bridge portions movable from storage positions to positions of use connected to one another in series. The supporting apparatus includes two support legs spaced from one another and swingably supported at respective free ends of a pair of pivotally connected carrier sections. The support legs are further connected with one another by a hydraulic-cylinder arrangement arranged in bypassing relationship to the carrier sections with the holding element designed to absorb relative movement of the support legs resulting from the pivotal connection of the carrier section. Swinging devices are also provided at the free ends of each of the carrier sections for applying forcible swinging movement to the support legs so as to fold same from storage to in-use positions. The pivot axis of the support legs extend at an angle of less than 90.degree. with respect to the longitudinal extent of the support legs.
