  • Patent number: 4545121
Abstract: A hand-held power tool with a circular-disk-shaped tool mounted on an output shaft which extends normal to a drive shaft has a guiding part which surrounds the tool in an immovable position at its cutting side. The guiding part has a wall arranged for abutting against a workpiece and having a through slot for the tool, and a guiding edge extending parallel to a cutting direction of the tool, and the guiding part being movably guided in direction normal to the wall.

  • Patent number: 4506711
Abstract: A cutting roller for a hand-operated planing tool includes an elongated primary member and two pressure members, symmetrically surrounding the primary member at two side faces thereof. A plurality of planing knives are clamped between the pressure members and the primary member. The cutting roller is provided with fit elements which are attached to the primary member and fit in the recesses formed in the pressure members. During the assembly the fit members are aligned with the bearings of the cutting roller in the housing of the planing tool and then are attached to the primary member. The planing knives thereby are always aligned in the correct position with respect to the primary member. The pressure members are secured to the primary member by bolts.

  • Patent number: 4382458
Abstract: A planing tool has a cylindrical body with elongated axially extending grooves in which elongated inserts with planing members are received, adjusting screws extending in a radial direction and arranged to adjust the radial distance of the inserts from the axis of rotation of the body, clamping screws arranged to clamp the inserts in the elongated grooves, wherein each adjusting screws extends through an opening of the respective insert with play, and a spring element is located between a bottom wall of each of the grooves and a respective one of the inserts.

  • Patent number: 4360048
Abstract: The power driven, hand operated plane of the type having a fixed front guiding plate adjoining the circular path of movement of the planing knife, and a vertically adjustable rear guiding plate controlled by an adjustment device assembled of a control disk mounted at one end of a screw spindle and projecting partially from the housing; the other end of the spindle engages a nut which is secured to the shoe by a preadjustment mechanism; a biasing spring presses the shoe against the nut; a dial provided on top of the control disk is visible to the user through a window in the housing.

  • Patent number: 4242839
Abstract: A high-speed power tool has a housing for an electromotor, and a tool casing mounted on the motor housing. A finishing plate is mounted on the tool casing for movement relative thereto. The motor drives a transmission which includes a crank member having an eccentric portion connected to the finishing plate for imparting oscillatory motion to the latter. The arrangement for connecting the eccentric portion of the crank member to the finishing plate includes a bearing mounted on the eccentric portion of the crank member, and a sleeve surrounding the bearing and detachably connected to the finishing plate. Screws which are accessible from the exterior of the tool casing and of the finishing plate connect the sleeve to the finishing plate.
