Abstract: A roll-up leash which comprises a casing (1) containing a winding drum (3), pivoting around an axis (2), biased in the direction of winding. This winding drum (3) has at least one catch (5) which, when the leash (4) unwinds, automatically extends outwards towards a catch stop (8). This catch stop (8) can be moved back, by means of a manually operated button (14), out of the direction of travel of the extended catch (5). The catch (5) is positioned swivel-mounted on an end face of the winding drum (3). To turn the catch (5) there is a rotating actuator (19) revolving with the winding drum (3) but limited relative to the same and having, to synchronise the rotating actuator after passing an idle clearance of the rotating actuator relative to the winding drum (3), two stops, and with the rotating actuator featuring means to extend and retract the catch (5) in the case of rotation relative to the winding drum (3).

  • Patent number: 6526918
Abstract: A retracting leash which supports, in a housing, a cable drum, which is under tension in the winding up direction and is connected coaxially with a gear wheel and for which a pawl stop, having a stop at the housing, is provided for blocking the gear wheel in one direction of rotation. The pawl stop is formed by a pinion, which meshes with the gear wheel and has a shaft, which is mounted displaceably in a guide of the housing, extending at least approximately coaxially to the axis of rotation of the gear wheel. The pinion or a pawl, connected with the pinion, in an end position of the shaft, lies against a stop at the housing, yet is held freely rotatable when the shaft is shifted in the opposite direction. An element for separating the stop from the pinion, acting counter to the force of a spring, is provided.

  • Patent number: 6103395
Abstract: A laminated composite material, and a method of improving the surface hardness of laminated composite materials, wherein selected regions of the carrier material of the laminated composite system are treated with high-energy beams, and the temperature control is designed in such a manner that the rays penetrate into a maximum a 0.1-fold the entire thickness of the carrier material. The temperature increase in the region of the sliding material is a maximum of 80% of the melting temperature of the lowest melting constituent of said material. The laminated composite material with a rear steel substrate surface can be post-hardened. The steel substrate has at least in one part of the surface facing away from the function layer a level of hardness increased by a factor of 1.5 or more than at a depth which corresponds substantially to 0.1-fold of the thickness of the steel substrate.
