  • Patent number: 7543391
Abstract: In a leveling, plumbing, and angular calibration instrument a swinging suspended vertical body (4) is provided, which carries groups (5, 6) of light elements and/or lenses and optionally a beam splitter and/or beam converging element provided to create and emit laser light. A clamping element (7) is allocated to the vertical body (4) to block a swinging motion in an exactly central position, if necessary, which is formed from two clamping shoes (8, 9) arranged opposite each other, which can be synchronously displaced in reference to the clamping section (10) of the vertical body (4).

  • Publication number: 20070206174
Abstract: A device for hand-held measurement of distances (d) to a surface region of an object (22), including a housing (2) and a lens system (3) for the optical measurement of distances (d). Transmission beams are transmitted via the lens system against the surface region and the beams (5) reflected there are recollected. The device additionally includes a first component (6, 7, 8, 8?, 8 9) connected to the housing (2) which may be extended beyond the housing for the measurement of short distances in the direction of emission of the transmitted beams and furthermore which acts as a spacer (9) for the optical measurement. The extended state of the component (6, 7, 8, 8?, 9) is automatically determined be a feeler device.

  • Patent number: 6879921
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for measuring distances having a distance measurer (1) and a stop element (3; 3?; 3?) enabling precise and mechanically stabile fixed installation on any form of top surfaces. Interchangeable stop elements (3; 3?; 3?) are disposed on a distance measurer (1), and embodied on the side thereof which is orientated towards the object to be measured in such a way that exact installation can take place on the surface of the object. Another use of the stop element is that it can inc;lude a receiving element for securing a distance measurer (1), whereby the distance measurer is pivotally mounted about at least one horizontal rotational axis (12) whilst the distance measurer (1) is in use. The stop element (3?) is formed in such a way that it is possible to adjust the device and subsequently measure different measuring points (C,D) without having to take geometric changes into account as a result of said adjustment.

  • Patent number: 4354403
Abstract: Screw driving apparatus in which a slide is movable back and forth on a support and is formed with a chute extending in the slide away from the support toward an open end of the chute, and with an access opening to the chute. A driver is mounted on the support for rotation in the chute and for movement in the chute toward and away from the open end in response to the back-and-forth movement of the slide. The slide carries a control plate capable of limited movement relative to the slide between two terminal positions spaced in the direction of slide movement. Two jaws are pivotally mounted on the slide and may jointly obstruct the open end of the chute. A jaw operating member on the control plate engages the jaws and moves them toward and away from the chute-obstructing position in response to movement of the control plate between its terminal positions which is caused by motion transmitting elements on the support when the slide moves back and forth.

  • Patent number: 4246939
Abstract: Automatic driving apparatus which sequentially inserts screws provided with washers into work pieces includes a chute formed with an opening transverse to its axis. Screws are fed sequentially through the opening into the chute. A driver in the chute is shaped for driving engagement with an introduced screw. A drive mechanism axially moves the driver in the chute and rotates the same in a plane transverse to the axis for thereby engaging the driver with the screw and axially moving the screw with the rotating driver. A magazine adapted to hold apertured washers is provided with a slide which sequentially moves the washers transversely to the chute axis from the magazine to a position of alignment of an aperture in the moved washer with an axially moving screw in the chute. A source of motive power is connected with the feeding mechanism for the screws, the drive mechanism, and the slide for transmitting motive power to the feeding mechanism, the drive mechanism, and the slide in timed sequence.
