  • Patent number: 10548323
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for fighting mold, algae, and other microorganisms on various wall, floor, or ceiling surfaces infested with said organisms, and on masonry in general. The method comprises the following steps carried out consecutively: applying a first solution to the infested surface, wherein the first solution contains at least one surfactant compound; applying at least once a second solution that was basified by means of caustic soda to the infested surface, wherein the solution contains at least one hypochlorite compound; applying a third solution to the infested surface, wherein the solution contains at least hydrogen peroxide and lactic acid as active substances, and wherein the application of the third solution is continued until the foam formation on the infested surface has ended; applying a fourth solution to the infested surface, wherein the solution contains at least one quaternary ammonium compound.

  • Patent number: 5257882
Abstract: At the gear manufacturing machine there are automatically fabricated longitudinally curved tooth gears, especially longitudinally curved tooth bevel and hypoid gears according to conventional stock-removal form or generating methods. In order to improve both the mechanical stability and kinematic stability, the gear manufacturing machine contains only so-to-speak "natural" gear manufacturing or cutting axes, and, in particular, does not contain any hypoid stock, however, a generating drum. With the method of operating such gear manufacturing machine it is possible to fabricate hypoid gears during the generating operation by performing an additional movement of the workpiece in the lengthwise direction of the tooth pitch cone.

  • Patent number: 5227097
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a stimulable luminescent storage screen, of the type used to store a latent x-ray image, with the image being read-out by excitation of the screen with radiation of a first wavelength, thereby causing the screen to emit radiation of a second wavelength, includes the step of using a transparent single crystal as the initial material for making the screen, and working the transparent single crystal to form the screen. Working of the transparent single crystal can be in the form of pressing the crystal, heating the crystal, or both.

  • Patent number: 5206514
Abstract: A luminescent storage screen having a stimulable phosphor for the latent storage of x-ray images, of the type wherein the latent image is read-out by excitation of the stimulable phosphor with a read-out beam having a first wavelength, causing radiation of a second wavelength to be emitted, which is acquired by a detector, the storage screen having lateral faces of disposed at an angle with respect to one of the end faces of the storage screen which is less than 90.degree.. The end faces are transparent so that radiation of the second wavelength can exit the screen from the end faces.

  • Patent number: 5180610
Abstract: A luminescent storage screen, in which a latent x-ray image is stored, is read-out using stimulating radiation at a first wavelength, which causes light at a second wavelength to be emitted by the screen. The stimulable phosphor is transparent in the range of the two wavelengths. The stimulable phosphor is a doped alkali halide, such as a thallium-doped rubidium-bromide.

  • Patent number: 5142652
Abstract: An x-ray radiator has an elongated cathode for emitting an electron beam having an elongated cross section, the electrons of the electron beam being accelerated onto an anode for generating x-radiation. The cathode is formed by a geometrical member completely filled with electron-emitting material, and the material of the cathode contains at least one element from the group of rare earths and at least one element from the group of precious metals or boron.

  • Patent number: 5066864
Abstract: A stimulable phosphor luminescent storage screen of the type used for the latent storage of X-ray images, wherein read-out of the stored image ensues by exciting the phosphor with radiation of a first wavelength thereby causing radiation of a second wavelength to be emitted by the phosphor, has at least one optical surface coat layer for reducing reflections. The stimulable phosphor is transparent.
