  • Patent number: 11876416
Abstract: A rotary machine, in particular electric motor, includes a position sensing means for sensing a rotational position of a pole wheel that is rotatable about an axis of rotation. The pole wheel has a circumferential edge, and the position sensing means has at least one first position sensor for sensing a change in a magnetic field, at least one magnetic element arranged on the pole wheel, and at least one circuit card on which electronic components are arranged. The first position sensor is arranged at least indirectly on the circuit card. The first position sensor extends at least partially into a space of the pole wheel that surrounded by the circumferential edge.

  • Patent number: 11499842
Abstract: A position detection system for detecting a movement of a machine includes a first and a second position sensor and an evaluation device. The first position sensor is configured to detect a change in a first magnetic field generated by the movement of the machine. The second position sensor is configured to detect a change in a second magnetic field, which differs from the first magnetic field and is generated by the movement of the machine. A detection result from the second position sensor has a lower resolution of a position of an element of the machine to be determined than a detection result from the first position sensor. The evaluation device is configured to evaluate the detection result from the first position sensor and/or the detection result from the second position sensor to determine the position of the element of the machine.

  • Patent number: 11287288
Abstract: The disclosure provides a position detection system and a method for detecting a movement of a machine. The position detection system comprises a first position sensor configured to detect a magnetic field that forms magnet pole pairs arranged in a row, magnet poles of different polarity being arranged next to one another in each case, a second position sensor configured to detect a magnetic field at an individual magnet arranged in a center of the magnet pole pairs and at a distance from each magnet pole; and an evaluation device configured to evaluate detection results of the first and second position sensors that have been detected based on a movement of an element of the machine relative to the first and second position sensors, the evaluation including identifying a fault based on the detection results of the first and second position sensors.

  • Patent number: 8471515
Abstract: An apparatus for operating a machine having electric axes includes a power module for supplying axis drives with electrical energy, an axis regulating module for regulating parameters of the axis drives, and an axis control module for controlling axis drives among one another. The modules are all interconnected with one another and located inside the apparatus as integral components of the apparatus. Synchronization is established between the functions of the modules, so that related courses of motion of a machine that is to be triggered are executed as precisely as possible.

  • Patent number: 8280691
Abstract: The object of the invention is to implement an arrangement that enables maximally flexible linkage of measured-value sensing systems 12 to automation devices. This object is achieved in that an arrangement for evaluating the measured values of a measured-value converter 12 is provided, which arrangement encompasses an evaluation means 13 and a connecting means 18 for linking the evaluation means 13 to the measured-value transducer 12. Connecting means 18 in turn encompasses means 14, 15, 16, 17a, b that are at least in part electrically configurable, by means of parameters, in such a way that a linkage of evaluation means 13 to measured-value converters 12 that differ in terms of measured-value data transfer can be implemented.
