  • Patent number: 10185836
Abstract: Encrypting data without losing their format is important in computing systems, because many parties using confidential data rely on systems that require specific formatting for data. Information security depends on the systems and methods used to store and transmit data as well as the keys used to encrypt and decrypt those data. A policy broker is disclosed that maintains keys for clients in confidence, while providing cryptographically secure ciphertext as tokens that the clients may use in their systems as though they were the unencrypted data. Tokens are uniquely constructed for each client by the policy broker based on policies set by a receiving client detailing the formatting needs of their systems. Each client may communicate with other clients via the policy broker with the tokens and will send tokens unique to their system that the policy broker will translate into the tokens of the other party.

  • Patent number: 5284360
Abstract: A pivotable rollover bar for motor vehicles, in particular for four-seater convertibles, which, bent in the shape of a U, surrounds the rear seating area of a passenger compartment in a lowered rest position. The rollover bar can be pivoted by a drive about lateral bearings on a vehicle body, about a transverse axis of the vehicle, into a raised operative position in which its crossbar spans the interior of the passenger compartment. The rollover bar is provided on its lateral limbs with a flattened portion on the side facing the interior of the passenger compartment, this flattened portion enlarging the interior or the passenger compartment at the sides of the seat. At least one supporting tube projects from the rollover bar towards the vehicle body, the supporting tube being displaceable together with the rollover bar and being guided in a guide in the vehicle body and positioned to take up forces in the transverse direction of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4790223
Abstract: For separating off a stack of individual shaped items such as bottle neck labels from a stack of strips each carrying several such items, a punching die is used which has a punching contour which corresponds to the desired shape of the cutting line between the individual shaped items. The cutting line also corresponds to the rear contour of the separate stack of individual shaped items. The shape of the cutting line of the punching die is freely selectable. At its rear edge the punching die is smooth and the separated-off stack of shaped items accommodates any compression of the material forming the stack by means of an offset angle so that the remainder of the strip of shaped items has a smooth and perpendicular cut edge.

  • Patent number: 4741557
Abstract: The proposed safety-belt arrangement in a vehicle has a three-point belt, for which an upper deflecting fitting, together with a guide part of a belt feeder arm, is retained on the vehicle center column so as to be vertically adjustable on a common support. The belt lug of the feeder arm can consequently be made as small as possible, while still accommodating passengers of varying sizes.

  • Patent number: 4572045
Abstract: An automatic punching machine having a gripping/lifting attachment which grips and lifts upright punched stacks from a delivery channel, turns them and deposits them onto transfer statics for further conveyance to an automatic bundling machine. The deposited stacks are held in the transfer station by stack guides. So that the stack guides do not interfere when the swivel arm of the gripping/lifting attachment, which is arranged so as to be turnable overhead through about 180.degree., is swung into the transfer station, such are fastened to a lifting table which can be lowered out of the plane of further conveyance. Mounted on the free end of the swivel arm is a swivel head which is pivotable through about 90.degree. and which is provided with a parting knife for the dividing or separating of the stacks.

  • Patent number: 4398135
Abstract: An electric motor drive unit for windshield wipers includes an electric motor having an electrical connection plug housing and a brush holder plate. The plug housing and brush holder plate are provided as an integral unit. The unit is secured between the motor housing and the gear housing. This arrangement and assembly of the drive unit is simplified and less expensive to manufacture.

  • Patent number: 4213581
Abstract: A wind-up mechanism for eliminating the belt looseness of a safety belt system when exceeding a predetermined deceleration, in which an ignitable propellant charge, provided for triggering the retraction movement of the belt is arranged centrally in the hollow shaft of a belt roller that blocks automatically in case of danger. A liquid medium is preferably disposed in front of the propellant charge which, after the ignition of the propellant charge, drives a rotor coupled at that instant with the wind-up roller so as to eliminate the belt looseness by the gases forming during the ignition of the propellant charge. The hollow shaft accommodates at one end a cap and a toothed rim connected therewith, into which engages a blocking mechanism triggered in case of danger, while at least a part of the rotor is formed-on at the other end of the shaft in the course of a cold-flow or casting operation.

  • Patent number: 4178119
Abstract: An arrangement for turning and multiple placing on top of each other and for alignment of paper stacks which are located on the rear contact plate of a turning stacker in a position preferably turned by 90.degree.. Intermediate members in the form of a rake are placed between the individual paper stacks and are adjusted at the carrying column of carrying plate of the stacker. After introducing the paper stack and the intermediate member, the paper stack is preferably turned by about 90.degree.. The entire surface of the rear contact plate of the turning stacker is thereupon vented by uniform air discharge. The paper stack is loosened and aligned by forming an air cushion under the stack and then turned to a final position. The carrying plates or carrying forks between which the stack to be turned is held, is provided each with one yoke, or connected by one yoke having rear spindle nuts fastened on a left- and right-hand spindle.
