    Abstract: Thickening systems for water-based building material mixes, composed of 0.01 to 2% by weight of a water-soluble cellulose ether, 0.01 to 2% by weight of polyvinyl alcohol and 0.005 to 1% by weight of boric acid or salts thereof, the respective percentages being based on the dry substance content of the building material mix.Due to the addition of boric acid or borax, these thickening systems have an improved thickening action compared with thickening mixtures composed only of cellulose ether and polyvinyl alcohol.

    Abstract: A device for triggering a thyristor uses light pulses or flashes for achieving a galvanic separation between the triggering circuitry and the load circuit. The light pulses are generated by a flashlamp disposed in a housing in which a number of channels extend radially, each channel having a light conductor therein. The light conductors lead to respective individual thyristors which are to be triggered.

  • Solid fuel stove utilizable as a fireplace

    Abstract: A so-called stack stove, especially for the burning of solid fuels and particularly wood has a hood or apron extending downwardly and outwardly along the upper portion of at least its front above the opening into the combustion chamber. A window door is mounted so as to be shiftable upwardly into the hood and locked therein so that it is substantially completely concealed by the hood when the stove is operated in a fireplace mode. In its lower position the door closes the chamber opening and the stove can function as a sealed stove with limited air entry for efficient combustion.
