  • Publication number: 20070102972
Abstract: The invention relates to a monitor (1) that is fastened on a vehicle seat (3) of a motor vehicle. The monitor (1) is optically associated with the head restraint (4) and fastened on a frame part (3.2) of the backrest (3.1). The monitor (1) can be swiveled independently of the position of the head restraint (4). The arrangement of the head restraint (4) parallel to the monitor (1) inhibits the vibration of the monitor (1) during operation of the motor vehicle and prevents the rear passengers from being dazzled when watching the monitor at night.

  • Patent number: 6915743
Abstract: A device and a method detect an edge of a recording material, in particular a printing plate, in an exposer for recording printing originals. An exposer has an exposure drum for holding the printing plate, and an exposure head, which is moved axially along the exposure drum and focuses exposure beams onto the printing plate. The position of the edge of the printing plate is determined by a sensing device. To this end, a sensing finger is pivoted into a groove in the surface of the exposure drum and a signal is generated by a sensor when the sensing finger moves when it touches the edge of the recording material. The sensor used is preferably a microswitch. The axial position of the edge of the printing plate is determined by counting the cycles of the feed drive that moves the sensing device.

  • Patent number: 5572484
Abstract: A short range ultrasonic distance warning system is used as a parking aid in a motor vehicle. The entire system is active in the case of reverse gear being selected and low speed, and is deactivated automatically at higher speed. If reverse gear is not being selected, only the system part for front space monitoring is active at low speed of travel, while the system is once again automatically kept inactivated at higher speed. This implements a parking aid which is convenient and avoids unnecessary system activations.

  • Patent number: 4764073
Abstract: The invention relates to a book case magazine for book casing machines, this magazine comprising a device for picking off that book case which, at a given point in time, is lying flat at the bottom of a stack, and for conveying it away. The transport elements for conveying the book case are configured as wide feeders 5, 6, extending from the vicinity of a central support surface 59 for the stack and running laterally at least as far as the mid-regions of the covers of a book case that is representative of the largest format to be accomodated by the magazine. The feeders 5, 6 are mounted on a crossbeam 4 which can be moved forwards and backwards, enabling them to be set conjointly to the book case height, and wherein these feeders 5, 6 are preferably interconnected to form a single component, and can be set conjointly to the book case thickness by means of an adjusting mechanism 9.
