  • Publication number: 20030033915
Abstract: The invention relates to a devices and apparatus for processing of sheet-shaped print materials, for example cutting. An apparatus and process for on-the-fly cutting of sheet-shaped print material is provided wherein sheet-shaped print material is cut with a cutting device, an edge of said sheet-shaped print material is sensed upstream from the cutting device, and cutting of the sheet-shaped print material by the cutting device is initiated dependent upon a length of the sheet-shaped print material and the sensing of an edge.

  • Patent number: 6241404
Abstract: A method for controlling the flow of paper objects in a paper processing system (PPS), having a main copier and/or printer unit with an output accessory manager (OAM) and at least one paper object processing device (POPD1, POPD2, . . . POPDn). The method is carried out by the following steps: generating a paper object header (POH) for each paper object (PO) in the output accessory manager (OAM); sending the paper object header (POH) to downstream paper object processing devices (POPDs) prior to the arrival of a paper object (PO) at the specific paper object processing device (POPD), wherein the paper object header (POH) is updated and modified by each paper object processing device (POPD); absorbing the paper object header (POH) in the last paper object processing device (POPD) in the route and generating in the last paper object processing device (POPD) a paper object header response (POHR) and sending the paper object header response (POHR) to the output accessory manager (OAM).

  • Patent number: 5978621
Abstract: Apparatus for monitoring and controlling a combination which includes a main device (2) and at least one auxiliary device (20). The main device (2) includes a stop button (14a), at least one drive motor (13a), and a plurality of safety switches (15a). In addition, an electrical control circuit (8), which has on the auxiliary device side an input (11) through which the auxiliary device (20) and the electrical control circuit (8) are connected to an individual signal line (21) and a ground line (23) of the auxiliary device (20), is installed in the main device (2). On the main device side, the electrical control circuit (8) has two inputs (12, 13) and two outputs (14, 15).

  • Patent number: 5836576
Abstract: An apparatus for removing copies and/or documents from a machine has a catch and removal tray (2) which can be extended telescopically out of the machine (1). The catch and removal tray (2) consists of a fixed section (3) inside the machine (1) and a movable section (4) which can be drawn out of the machine (1). The fixed section of the tray (3) acts as a catch tray for documents processed by the machine (1) and has a drive mechanism (6, 7, 19) which drives a sliding panel (5) which extends downwards into the fixed section of the tray (3) and which pushes the stack of documents (8) from the fixed section of the tray (3) into the extended movable section of the tray (4). The fixed section of the tray (3) has a photoelectric cell (20) which activates the sliding panel (5) when the stack of documents reaches the maximum height.

  • Patent number: 5810349
Abstract: An apparatus (1) for depositing sheet products (39, 40) at an offset has a deposition tray (2) that can be rotated alternately by 180 degrees in opposite directions about a vertical axis (41), and is equipped with a vertically movable deposition table (34). Delimiters (19, 20), arranged symmetrically to the rotation axis (41) and parallel to one another, and extending transverse to transport direction A of the sheet products (39, 40), are provided above a top starting position of the deposition table (34). Associated with each of the delimiters (19 or 20) are pivotedly arranged holding elements (17, 33 or 18, 32), which can be placed on the sheet products (39, 40) deposited on the deposition table (34). The delimiters (19 or 20) and the associated holding elements (17, 33 or 18, 32) are each configured as horizontally displaceable assemblies (21, 22).
