  • Patent number: 5699891
Abstract: Apparatus for displacing workpiece carriers from one conveying path to a further conveying path. The apparatus has a lifting device for the workpiece carrier arranged in a transfer zone with which the workpiece carrier can be transferred from the feeding conveyor path to the further conveyor path. The further conveyor path has at least one transport, where pulling run can be lifted and later lowered from the first place to a second place by the lifting device so that the pulling run of the transport belt can serve as a support for the workpiece carrier. Arranged at the end of a transport section of the further conveyor path in the transport zone, is at least one lifting-deflecting device deflecting a transport belt, which lifting-deflecting device can lift and lower the respective transport belt from the first plane to the second plane substantially by the same amount as the lifting device of the same transport belt.

  • Patent number: 5305683
Abstract: A pressure medium linear unit for handling devices for industrial manufacture includes a housing block, at least one operating cylinder for at least one piston, at least one piston rod, at least one guide rod, and guide elements for at least one piston rod and at least one guide rod. The housing block accommodates the at least one operating cylinder for the at least one piston and the guide elements for the at least one piston rod and the at least one guide rod. The housing block is a modular unit and includes a guide unit and a drive unit releasably connected with the guide unit, one behind the other, to form a compact unit in the direction of linear movement. The guide rod and the piston rod are arranged in an axially parallel manner. The end of the guide rod at the end of the drive can be moved within the drive unit. If the guide rod is moved into the drive unit, the drive unit extends at least over the moved-in length of the guide rod.

  • Patent number: 4816955
Abstract: Robot joint with an electric drive motor (30), a limit switch (36) for a safety shut off of the same, and a sensor (100) for the zero position-scanning of the joint. The limit switch (36) is actuated by annular segment like platform pieces (50) which are securable in different angle positions on a front face of the one robot part (12). For this purpose, a divided support ring (72,74) is provided which is securable in different angle positions independent from the platform pieces (50) and which has a side face (96,98) which influences the sensor (100).

  • Patent number: 4784014
Abstract: A robot joint has a support carrying a rotary robot arm. An electric drive motor is mounted on the support and its drive shaft is coupled to the robot arm by harmonic drive-type reduction gears. The reduction gears include an elastically deformable, externally toothed ring whose elliptical shape is rotated by the drive shaft. The externally toothed ring itself is stationary and is firmly connected to the support by a flexible sleeve provided at its free end with a rigid mounting flange. The annular mounting face of the flange and the opposite mounting face on the support is each provided with radial teeth, preferably in the form of Hirth-type gears, which guarantee an accurate centering of the sleeve and safeguard the same against turning. Preferably, the flange is fastened to the end face of a steel bushing which is pressed into a bore in the support and secured against turning by knurled serrations.
