  • Patent number: 10048284
Abstract: A sample container cap is disclosed. The sample cap container includes a sample cap body capable of covering an opening of a sample container and a centrifugation status indicator device in the top of the sample cap body. The centrifugation status indicator device includes: a first substance having a first density and a first color, and a second substance having a second density and a second color. The centrifugation status indicator device displays the first substance when the sample container has been centrifuged. The first substance can be a gel, and the second substance can include a plurality of particles. The second density is higher than the first density and the second color is different from the first color.

  • Publication number: 20150238978
Abstract: A system is disclosed. The system includes at least one image acquisition device configured to obtain one or more images of sample containers in a sample container holder. It also includes an image analysis device coupled to the at least one image acquisition device. The image analysis device is configured to analyze, by a processor, the one or more images of the sample containers in the sample container holder, to determine (a) a presence or absence of sample containers at sample container holder locations in the sample container holder, and (b) sample container characteristics of the sample containers in the sample container holder, wherein the sample container characteristics include one or more of cap color, cap shape, labels and markers associated with the sample containers, or one or more sample container holder characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20070243559
Abstract: An immunoassay method including the steps of: preparing a measuring sample by mixing a specimen with an immunoreactive substance, capable of specifically binding to a defined analyte, allowing the sample to react for a given reaction time, measuring a signal related to interactions of the immunoreactive substance with the analyte in the sample over the reaction time, checking on the basis of signals measured at different times, whether or not prozone effect has occurred in the sample and marking of a prozone-positive sample accordingly, and calculating from at least one of the signals measured during the reaction time the concentration of analyte in the sample by using a calibration curve or a portion of a calibration curve covering concentrations of analyte causing prozone effect for prozone positive samples, and another calibration curve or portion or calibration curve covering concentrations of analyte not causing prozone effect for the remaining samples.

  • Patent number: 6306617
Abstract: A liquid reagent for detecting creatine kinase activity. The liquid reagent includes G6PDH, hexokinase, creatine phosphate, glucose, ADP, NAD(P) and thioglycerol, which are split into two separate batches of reagents for storage. G6PDH is contained in one batch, and thioglycerol together with a further substance is contained in the other batch. The batches of reagents are mixed together prior to use for detection purposes.
