  • Patent number: 6692292
Abstract: A terminal block assembly includes an electrical terminal having a first stationary contact provided with insulation-piercing knife edges, and a second contact arrangement for connecting the terminal to a corresponding terminal on an adjacent terminal block assembly, the second contact arrangement including a male connector and a female jack connector that are arranged in opposite directions transversely of the terminal block body, thereby to afford connection with the corresponding terminal of an adjacent terminal block assembly mounted on a common support rail with the terminal block assembly.

  • Patent number: 5879204
Abstract: A resilient connector for maintaining an electrical conductor in side-by-side conductive engagement with a bus bar includes a generally loop- or O-shaped resilient contact body having a first end portion, an intermediate portion arranged generally normal to the intermediate portion, and a second end portion that is normally arranged at an acute angle relative to the contact intermediate portion, the contact first end portion containing a window opening having first and second opposed edges remote from and adjacent the intermediate portion, respectively, the second contact end portion being displaceable from a normal first position adjacent the first window edge toward a second position adjacent the second window edge, whereby when the second contact end is displaced to its second position and a conductor and a bus bar are introduced in side-by-side electrically conductive relation within the window, release of the second end portion causes the conductor and the bus bar to be clamped in tight electrical contac

  • Patent number: 5658172
Abstract: An electrical power distribution arrangement includes a first terminal block (2) including a main bus bar (5) having a plurality of pole portions (3, 4), a power supply plug connector (8) connected with the first terminal block and including a power supply bus bar (12) electrically connected between a single power supply lead (17) and a first pole-portion (4) of the main bus bar, and at least one tapped output connector (9) having an output bus bar (12') connected with the main bus bar, characterized by the provision of plug-in coupling connectors (15, 15') connected with the power supply and tapped power outlet plug connectors for supplying power from the power supply lead via the first terminal block to a second terminal block of the distribution arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5174767
Abstract: A conductor connector assembly for connecting a ground conductor or the like to a U-shaped top hat rail, including a first sheet metal member (1) arranged for seated engagement transversely across the outwardly directed flange portions at the free ends of the legs of the top hat rail, a second sheet metal member (2) adjacent the first member and including at each end a hook portion (16) adapted to extend below the associated flange portion, and a screw device (3) for displacing the second member upwardly relative to the first member, thereby to clamp the rail flange portions between the first and second sheet metal members. A guide arrangement is provided for guiding the members for vertical movement relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 5041704
Abstract: In a dual disconnect terminal assembly including a switch, the disconnect contact member for opening and closing the current paths formed by bus bar segments in the upper and lower terminal tiers is a toggle lever which includes contact bridges for each respective tier. The lever can be pivoted into three different switch positions. In a first position, the upper and lower contact bridges are connected with the bus bar segments of the upper and lower tiers, respectively, to close the current paths therebetween. In a second position, the upper and lower contact bridges are spaced from the bus bar segments of the upper and lower tiers, respectively, to open the current paths therebetween. In a third position, the upper contact bridges are connected with extensions of the bus bar segments of the upper tier to close the current path thereof and the lower contact bridges are spaced from the bus bar segments of the lower tier to open the current path thereof.
