  • Publication number: 20190169382
Abstract: Disclosed is a film based on a composition including at least one polymer and at least one plasticizer, the composition having a calculated Tg ranging from ?35° C. to 40° C., preferably from ?20° C. to 10° C., the film presenting a rebound resilience according to Test A less than 15%, preferably less than 10%; to a process for its manufacturing and to its uses; it also relates to an element incorporating the film and uses thereof.

  • Publication number: 20180153237
Abstract: This invention relates to a structure for absorption and/or dissipation of mechanical shocks comprising: connectors forming an aerated base with a base surface; protuberances, each of the protuberances comprising a central axis along which it extends from the aerated base, the central axis being normal to the base surface, two adjacent protuberances being connected to each other by a connector. It also relates to a body protector at least partly made using the structure and protective clothing comprising at least one such protector.

  • Publication number: 20160002446
Abstract: The invention relates to a rubber blend composition with reduced internal friction, especially for tyres and transmission systems. In order to reduce the internal friction, trans-polynorbornenes are used at least partly together with process oils or resins with a glass transition of <?20° C. for the rubber blend composition.

  • Publication number: 20030180517
Abstract: The invention relates to a multilayered material for the protection of body parts from penetrating objects, such as, e.g., projectiles or splinters, comprising at least one energy-distributing layer (2) and at least one energy-absorbing layer (3), as well as a protective insert (1) for boots, a protective boot (8) and a protective outer garment by using such a multilayered material. To create such a material by which a good protective effect can be achieved with a simultaneous high elasticity, it is provided that the energy-absorbing protective layer (3), which, viewed in the direction of impact of the object, is arranged behind an energy-distributing layer (2), is made of a three-dimensional Polynorbonen-based matrix.

  • Patent number: 6202217
Abstract: There is disclosed a device for the protection of objects or body parts against vibrations, in particular a vibration-damping glove or antivibration glove, including at least one vibration-damping layer. In order to realize such a device, which causes noticeable damping of vibrations even in the low-frequency range of vibrations (31.5 to 200 Hz) and, in addition, remains maneuverable to the largest extent possible, at least one vibration-damping layer, on its surface facing away from the object or body part to be protected, includes indents for decoupling movements in at least one direction in the plane of that surface. The indents, on the one hand, cause the vibrations oriented in the plane of the surface to be deflected into the interior of the layer, thereby enhancing the vibration-damping effect, in particular in the low-frequency range. On the other hand, a high degree of movability of the vibration-damping layer, and hence of the overall device, is ensured by the indents.
