  • Patent number: 9241256
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, subscriber database, network element, an interface, and a computer program product for distributing position- or network-related information from an access network to a core network, wherein a first interface between the access network and the subscriber database is associated with a second interface between the core network and the subscriber database in a manner so that, in response to at least one predetermined notification indicating a registration or change of position and signaled to the subscriber database via the first interface, the position- or network-related information is selectively signaled via the second interface to a network element of the core network in a server assignment answer or in a push profile request. Thereby, position or location information of a subscriber or user in an access network is directly or automatically availability in the core network.

  • Patent number: 8805361
Abstract: A method for self-provisioning of subscriber data allows efficient registration of a subscriber for an Internet-Protocol Multimedia Subsystem of a telecommunication network at the subscriber database of the Internet-Protocol Multimedia Subsystem. A subscription entry is created in the subscriber database of the Internet-Protocol Multimedia Subsystem of a telecommunication network, based on prior secure identification of the subscriber by the access network that grants access to the Internet-Protocol Multimedia Subsystem.

  • Publication number: 20090213808
Abstract: A method for maintaining at least one data connection to a terminal during a changeover from a first communication access network to at least one second communication access network, comprising at least two private user identities and at least two IP addresses are allocated to the terminal in order to form a public user identity for the user of the terminal, wherein the terminal registers itself in an IP communication network in parallel per communication access network with in each case one private user identity and with the common public user identity and an IP address for the first communication access network and the at least one second communication access network.

  • Publication number: 20070183372
Abstract: Disclosed is a method which allows for a fast and efficient establishment of a connection between members of a group, more specifically between a mobile radio user who triggers the establishment of the connection and additional mobile radio users of a group of mobile radio users via at least one mobile radio network. According to the inventive method, a first channel that can be used for transmitting signaling data is set up when establishing the connection. User data, such as language, which is to be transmitted between the mobile radio user triggering the establishment of the connection and other members of the group is also transmitted via said channel in addition to the signaling data until a second channel is also set up for the connection, whereupon user data is transmitted via the second channel.
