Opposite walls of the tube section in a middle portion between two tube ends is shaped in that one side of the tube section is pressed inwards transversely to the axis of the tube section by the stamp to form a concave curvature, and the opposite wall is pressed into the depression in the lower part to form a flat.

    Abstract: To be able to mount a mitered door to a mitered wall and open it as wide as possible, and for keeping the miter joint as tight as possible, a hinge for the door comprises two base parts or inner and outer housings which are likewise mitered, making close contact with each other in the "closed position" of the hinge and being coordinated with the miter plane of the piece of furniture or the like. The two base parts are interconnected by long brackets and short brackets, the long brackets forming crosses and being connected by a pin. The inner housing is adjustable relative to the outer housing in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction, each by given amounts. Each adjustment is made via a turnable pinion acting upon a rack of a first intermediate member. The adjustment of the inner housing relative to the outer housing is achieved via the intermediate members, each of which is retained in one direction.

    Abstract: A metal fitting for a detachable connection between panels, which are at an angle to one another, especially between furniture panels, comprises an approximately cylindrical tension part (3) which is rotatably supported in the recess (2) of a mounting (1). The mounting (1) is attached to one panel and a tension bolt (10), which engages the tension part (3), is attached to the other panel. Recess (2) is provided at its one face (4) with a supporting surface (5) for the purpose of supporting the tension part (3) in the mounting (1). In order to enable the mounting (1) to be manufactured simply and the tension part (3) to be inserted easily into the mounting (1), the other face (13) of the recess (2) is fashioned to be open and has only a nose (14), which rises inwardly above the tension part (3). The tension part (3), in turn, is provided with a longitudinal slot (15) which corresponds to the dimensions of the nose (14).

    Abstract: A stretchable belt, such as for safety belt restraint systems in vehicles, includes a base material and at least one additional material having a different stress-stretch curve. By providing a base material with higher deformability than the additional material the stress-stretch curve of the belt has a first steeply rising portion where the load is primarily transmitted to the additional material. At a given load point, the additional material abruptly tears, and the load is transmitted to the base material. Thereafter, the stress versus stretch curve continues at a substantially lower angle. In this manner, the belt absorbs a maximum amount of energy for a given maximum load and maximum stretch. The belt may be formed from a single type of raw material, mechanically or thermally treating it to provide different stress versus stretch characteristics for the base material and the additional material.

The two lower rows of balls are received in the triangular hollow section below the bent edge portions.

    Abstract: An angled bolt is used for securing a mitered connection between two plates particularly furniture boards. To obtain a satisfactory fit between the miters, the position of the bolt shanks in the plates must be well fixed. This is obtained by a stop provided on the bolt so as to extend substantially in the plane of the joint. The stop may take the shape of a ring or a star. To be able to assemble plates also in other than right-angle positions, the connecting corner link is designed as a hinge, with the hinge pin extending perpendicularly to the bolt shanks and having flattened protruding ends which form the stops. These stops come automatically into their position in the plane of the joint.

The tightening bolt is in operative engagement with the head of the fastener bolt in such a manner that as the tightening bolt is rotated the fastener bolt is pulled into the second blind bore firmly joining the two panels.
