  • Patent number: 5155753
Abstract: An x-ray diagnostics installation for producing x-ray images has an x-ray image intensifier with an output screen on which a light image corresponding to x-rays attenuated by an examination subject is present, the light image having a dominant region of primary medical interest. A detector is provided for measuring the mean image brightness of the dominant region, the detector having an optical imaging scale. An adjustment element is provided for varying the optical imaging scale of the detector so that at least one of the position and size of the dominant region is adjustable with respect to the light image.

  • Patent number: 5042057
Abstract: An x-ray diagnostics installation having a transmission chain subject to imaging errors. The transmission chain has at least an x-ray image intensifier and an optical system for imaging the output image of the x-ray image intensifier onto a video pick-up coupled to the optical system. The optical system has a distortion which compensates for the imaging errors of the other elements of the transmission chain such that the imaging errors of the transmission chain are substantially eliminated.

  • Patent number: 4908843
Abstract: A light distributor for use in an X-ray diagnostics installation wherein a light image corresponding to an X-ray image is generated by an X-ray image intensifier, and the light image is to be recorded using a number of different image recorders as a housing with input optics facing toward the X-ray image intensifier for generating a parallel light beam path, and has at least two movable mirror surfaces secured flat on a carriage. The carriage and mirror surfaces are arangement obliquely in a plane which is parallel to the beam path, and the carriage is displaceable along guides within this plane so that one of the mirror surfaces can be laterally moved into the beam path to deflect the light from the image intensifier onto a desired image recorder. At least one of the mirror surfaces is partially reflecting.

  • Patent number: 4232226
Abstract: The installation comprises a support table for a patient, a plurality of x-ray sources or similar radiation sources, arranged in a series or planar array, with step-by-step activation of the radiation sources in any desired sequence. The beam of rays and the image field of the image detection installation are shifted in mutually opposite directions, so that sharply defined images are formed of only those details disposed in a specified longitudinal layer of the body as determined by the location of the rotational axis of the beam of rays. In the radiation path of the beam of rays of every radiation source, a beam path control device is arranged for shifting the beam path in relation to a central axis of the radiation source system and of the image pickup system, in dependence upon a laminographic height alteration.

  • Patent number: 4112304
Abstract: An x-ray film cassette has a window for illuminating patient data and a slide movable over the window to shut out light. A counterpoise of ferromagnetic material is provided for locking the slide in a closed position and which can be released magnetically. The counterpoise is pivotably mounted about a tilt axis passing through its center of gravity. A spring member is provided for biasing the counterpoise such that an end face is positioned within the window to prevent movement of the slide.
