Abstract: The door-related part of a cabinet hinge is in the form of a cup insert having a cup part which can be sunk flush into a recess in the back of a door. On the upper, free margin of the cup part a fastening flange integral therewith extends symmetrically with the longitudinal central axis on opposite sides of the latter, against the back of the door. From the bottom of the fastening flange projects a fastening stud engaged in a bore in the door adjacent the recess. This fastening stud is provided adjacent its free end with a knife-edged projection. Due to a special configuration, the fastening stud can be introduced into its corresponding bore in a canted position when the cup is installed. By a final rocking of the cup from the canted position in which it was inserted to the intended installed position, the knife-edged projection is forced into the wall of the bore receiving the fastening stud and positively locks the fastening stud against withdrawal from the bore.

Abstract: Four-joint cabinet hinge of increased opening angle. In a four-joint cabinet hinge (10) with an opening angle of more than 105.degree. the cup (14) that is provided as the door-related part and is to be fastened in a recess in the back of a corresponding door leaf is manufactured by the punch-press method from thin sheet steel. Different possibilities are described for the configuration and mounting of short pivot pins projecting from the inside wall of the cup and serving for the pivoting of the outer hinge link (16) on the door.

Abstract: Cabinet hinge having a supporting arm which can be snapped onto the mounting plate. The supporting arm (16) of the hinge is adjustably fastened to the mounting plate (14) that is previously mounted on the supporting wall (12) of a cabinet, and it has a slot (34) which is open at the end remote from the hinge articulation or is provided with an enlarged pass-through opening to admit the head (38) of a mounting screw (40) driven into the mounting plate (14). The mounting plate (14) is provided with a spring catch (wire spring 72) projecting beyond its lateral surface and associated with an abutment on the confronting inside surface of the supporting arm (16). The position of this abutment with respect to the tip (78) of the spring catch is selected such that the tip engages the abutment as soon as the shank of the mounting screw (40) reaches the area of transition from the slot (34) to the pass-through opening (36) or open end, as the case may be, of the slot.

Abstract: An articulated hinge for pivotally connecting a door flap to the carcass of a piece of furniture which has spaced carcass walls and a frame facing the door and extending essentially at right angles to the carcass walls and confining a free door opening, while the door flap in closed position partially overlaps the frame. The hinge has a carcass-related part connected to the edge surface of the frame offset inwardly relative to the adjacent carcass wall, and a door-related part connected to the door flap and pivotally connected to the carcass-related part via a link mechanism. The door-related part is in the form of an insert cup with a connecting part fittingly inserted into a recess in the backside of the door flap, and a link carrier part which has a portion interlocking with the connecting part.

Abstract: Over-center hinge for a cabinet door, having a supporting-wall-related part which can be fastened to the supporting wall of a cabinet, and a door-related part joined pivotingly to the supporting-wall-related part by a linkage mechanism and constructed as a plug-in cup. In the peripheral wall of the cup a tongue biased toward the interior of the cup by a compression spring is mounted for pivoting over a given angle. On its contour surface projecting slantingly into the interior of the cup a contact surface provided in the area of the linkage end of the supporting-wall-related part, slides during a portion of the opening and closing movement between the hinge closed position and dead center position and urges the door into the closed position.

Abstract: An articulated hinge for pivotally connecting a door flap to the carcass of a piece of furniture which has spaced carcass walls and a frame facing the door and extending essentially at right angles to the carcass walls and confining a free door opening, while the door flap in closed position partially overlaps the frame. The hinge has a carcass-related part connected to the edge surface of the frame offset inwardly relative to the adjacent carcass wall, and a door-related part connected to the door flap and pivotally connected to the carcass-related part via a link mechanism. Abstract: Cabinet hinge having two hinge links pivotingly attached to a door-related member on the one hand and to a wall-related member on the other, in the manner of a quadruple knuckle joint, wherein in the space between the hinge links, a resiliently deformable damping means is disposed such that, upon a swinging of the hinge into the open position, it is deformed while resting against at least one of the hinge links shortly before reaching the designated end position.

Abstract: Over-center hinge for cabinet doors, having two hinge links pivotingly joined, in the manner of a quadruple knuckle joint, at one end to a door-related hinge member and at the other end to a wall-related hinge member in the form of an elongated supporting arm, which, in the swing from the closed to the open position, can be moved through a dead center position on one side of which it is biased by the tension of a torsion coil spring toward the closed position and on the other side of which it is biased by the tension of the torsion coil spring toward the open position.

Abstract: A knuckle joint hinge, especially for rabbeted doors of period furniture, having a supporting wall part and a door part, a knuckle joint mechanism joining together the two parts and having two link arms recoupled pivotingly with one another in their middle area, one of the ends of the link arms being coupled to the supporting wall part of the hinge in the one case and to the door part of the hinge in the other, while the other end in each case is coupled to the other hinge part either in a sliding guide or indirectly through a link. The articulation point of the link arm directly articulated to the door part of the hinge is provided immediately beside the edge of the door which is to be hinged and in front of the face edge of the supporting wall, and the parts of the door part of the hinge and of the link arm, which are visible when the door is closed, have the appearance of the articulation of a single-pivot hinge having visible sleeves joined by a hinge pin.

Abstract: A furniture hinge for a grooved door comprising a door engagement portion constituting a slip-on mount and a quadrilateral link connected to the slip-on mount including two pivot pins disposed at a door side of the mount and two control levers positioned within a lower half of the slip-on mount on the pivot pins. The slip-on mount has a jacket beneath the control levers formed with a slot extending from the mouth of the slip-on mount, the slot having a width and depth such that the control levers pass therethrough when opening the door.
