    Abstract: A stable aqueous formulation containing as active substance an active-substance combination consisting of 2,6-diamino-5-(3',4', 5'-trimethoxybenzyl)-pyrimidine (trimethoprim) and either sulfachloropyrazine of the formula ##STR1## or a salt thereof, or sulfachloropyridazine of the formula ##STR2## or a salt thereof, for combating bacterial and protozoal diseases in animals by means of drinking water application. Besides the stated active substances, the formulation contains an organic solvent, a solubilizer, a surfactant and water.
