    Abstract: A foot brake valve (2?) of a pneumatic brake system in a motor vehicle has an installation plate (4?), on which a brake pedal (14) is pivotably mounted and to which a housing (18?) of a control unit (16, 26) is fastened. A spring-loaded plunger piston (36) in actuating contact with the brake pedal (14) is guided axially movably in an annular collar (50) projecting upward out of the installation plate (4?). For fastening the housing (18?) of the control unit (16, 26) to the installation plate (4?), the housing (18?) has an intermediate flange (48) which is screw-connected to the main part of the housing (18?) and has the annular collar (50). The seat ring (24) is a deep-drawn component shaped as a cylindrical pot of a metallic material. The radially outer valve seat (25) is an axially protruding annular web with a gable-shaped axial cross section.

The sealing ring (37) has, on each of the two axial edges thereof, one respective radially obliquely outwardly directed sealing lip (39, 40) which is in contact with the inner wall (38) of the cylinder (25), and that a plurality of guide members (50) distributed over the circumference and formed between the two sealing lips (39, 40) on the sealing ring (37).

    Abstract: A dual circuit brake valve system comprises first and second brake circuits, first and second combined inlet and outlet valves through which first and second braking pressures respectively are delivered to said first and second brake circuits, and first and second pistons which actuate the first and second combined inlet and outlet valves respectively. The second piston is actuated by the first braking pressure which serves as a control pressure therefor. To achieve simultaneous actuation of the first and second combined inlet and outlet valves, a compression spring is installed between the first and second pistons and mechanically connects these to each other. Thereby, a pressure difference of .DELTA.p between the pressure in the first brake circuit and the pressure in the second brake circuit, which approaches zero, is achieved. In order to be able to increase the pressure difference .DELTA.p in the two brake circuits, a third piston is provided between the first and second pistons.
