  • Publication number: 20080128154
Abstract: A method for producing a winding conductor (6a) for electrical appliances, in which one or a plurality of thermoplastic insulating layers (60) are applied by an extrusion process to an enameled wire (2) pre-insulated with a functional insulation (22), and in which each of these thermoplastic insulating layers (60) consists exclusively of a high-temperature thermoplastic. Also described is a winding conductor produced according to the method. The thickness of the insulating layer is respectively less than or equal to 25 ?m. The use of a high-temperature thermoplastic as the insulating layer makes it possible to produce winding conductors for thermal classes H and F at low cost in an extrusion process.

  • Publication number: 20070182258
Abstract: The invention relates to a drive unit for a vehicle and an electric motor that is suitable therefore, comprising a rotor and a stator (1) which is formed by a sheet metal pack (2) and is provided with grooves, at least one winding (3a) being disposed in said grooves (3). The electric motor is penetrated by cooling air. In order to keep production costs low and obtain thermal class 200, the winding (3a) is formed from round wires (7) that are provided with an insulation (12) while the coil heads (4) are embedded in a temperature-resistant elastic material (4a) so as to be protected against external influences.

  • Publication number: 20060137899
Abstract: The insulation of conductors comprised of litz wires of an electric machine should be improved for certain applications. To this end, the litz conductors of an electric machine are insulated by means of extrusion. A litz wire comprised of a multitude of filaments (1) is surrounded in a simple manner by an insulation (2) that completely insulates the litz wire from the surroundings. The spaces between the individual filaments (1) are preferably filled with a thermoconductive material also by means of extrusion.
