  • Patent number: 9184008
Abstract: A relay for a defibrillator, including a support base on which a coil and a contacting unit having a contact assembly are mounted. The contacting unit can be actuated by an armature and at least one additional mechanical connecting link as a result of the electrical excitation of the coil. The contact assembly has contacts supported on contact carriers. The contacts can be connected to each other by activating the coil. In order to optimize the contacting, at least one connecting link can be designed as a rotating lever coupled to the armature, which rotating lever is pivotably coupled to a contact carrier, and another contact carrier is pivotably coupled to an additional rotating lever or directly to the armature, wherein both contact carriers having the contacts to be contacted are moved towards each other during contacting.
