  • Publication number: 20080096185
Abstract: The invention describes a method for eliminating potentially toxic and/or harmful substances, wherein particles which are capable of binding, taking up and/or carrying the toxic and/or harmful substances, are removed from a body fluid in an extracorporeal step or in an extrinsic or exogeneous device.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 10, 2007
    Publication date: April 24, 2008
    Inventors: Gerhard Putz, Jurgen Eckes
  • Patent number: 6834072
Abstract: A method rebakes and graphitizes pitch-impregnated carbon bodies in an encapsulated Castner-type lengthwise graphitization furnace in one step. A furnace shell is constructed of element modules and can carry out the method. A furnace utilizes the furnace shell. The oxygen content in the interior of the furnace is kept below 4% by volume. The method is carried out under atmospheric pressure or at pressures that differ only slightly from the atmospheric pressure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 16, 2003
Date of Patent: December 21, 2004
Assignee: SGL Carbon GmbH & Co.
Inventors: Johann Daimer, Stefan Gschwandtner, Franz Kalchschmid, Franz Kals, Walter Lhotzky, Franz Liebhart, Gerhard Putz, Hubert Putz
