  • Publication number: 20130156966
Abstract: A method for reprocessing a turbine blade having at least one platform which due to the action of corrosion is undersized on at least one lateral platform face is provided. According to the method, the target dimension of the platform is restored by applying material to the at least one lateral platform face such that, after the material application, the platform is oversized and then the platform is given the target dimension by machining the at least one lateral platform face. The material application is carried out with the material of an adhesion promoter layer.

  • Patent number: 8158906
Abstract: Conventional welding methods have the disadvantage of producing worse welded joints at the beginning of the process than in the later course of the method. The method in question uses an initializing plate on which the welding process is begun and then once a consistent quality can be achieved for the welded joint continues onto the points for repair.

  • Patent number: 7976940
Abstract: Coatings which are applied to a component have to be removed again in a complex way in certain regions, since a coating was not desired to be present in those regions. The subsequent removal of this layer adversely affects the component, for example its geometry. The method according to the invention for coating a component includes a masking which at least partially comprises a ceramic powder and can therefore easily be removed after the component has been coated.

  • Publication number: 20080262153
Abstract: Thermosetting powder paint composition and polyester resin which can be used for its manufacture. The invention relates to thermosetting powder paint compositions based on carboxyl group-containing polyester resins as well as polyepoxides and/or ?-hydroxyalkylamides as curing agents. The polyester resins have an acid number of 10 to 100 and a hydroxyl number of at most 15 mg KOH/g polyester resin and consist of at least 50 mol %, with respect to the totality of the dicarboxylic acids contained, of units of isophthalic acid, and of at least 50 mol %, with respect to the totality of the diols contained, of units of neopentyl glycol, and contain a maximum of 10 mol %, with respect to the totality of all dicarboxylic acids and diols, of monomers having a functionality of 3 or greater. Through the addition of 0.05 to 5 wt.

  • Publication number: 20070274831
Abstract: A holder for holding a metal component part, which has at least one internal passage which is accessible by an opening in an external surface of the component part. The holder is equipped with a bearing element, which comprises a bearing surface, which is designed in such a way that it allows a seating of the component part on the bearing element, and in this case serves as a support for at least a part of the external surface of the component part which has the opening, and a flow passage, which leads through the bearing element, with at least one outlet opening located in the bearing surface. The outlet opening is located in the bearing surface in such a way that, with the component part seated, it lies opposite the opening of the internal passage. Furthermore, the outlet opening in shape and flow cross section is adapted to the opening of the internal passage.

  • Publication number: 20070186848
Abstract: The invention relates to a coating system, especially a low pressure plasma coating system, with at least one treatment chamber and a coating tool, especially a plasma spraying device, wherein at least one pump is provided for evacuation of the treatment chamber, which treatment chamber is formed to be temperature controllable. In addition there is a coating method for low pressure plasma coating with a temperature controlled and evacuated treatment chamber, in which a workpiece is coated by means of at least one coating tool. For acceleration of the coating process, especially the evacuating of the treatment chamber, it is proposed that at least the walls of the treatment chamber and/or the inside of the treatment chamber are temperature controlled at a temperature between 45° C. and 75° C.

  • Publication number: 20050191421
Abstract: Coatings that are applied to a component have to be removed again from certain areas using costly methods, because coating was not required in those areas. The subsequent removal of this layer can impair the component, for example in terms of its geometry. The inventive method for coating a component uses a mask, which consists at least partially of a ceramic powder and can therefore easily be removed after the component has been coated.

  • Patent number: 4448300
Abstract: For blocking containers that are moving on a conveyor between parallel guide rails, a rotatable star wheel is positioned adjacent the container path. A locking member selectively locks the star wheel in a neutral position wherein it lies completely outside of the container path and in a blocking position wherein it is rotated to block containers. When the star wheel becomes unlocked at neutral position, a rotary device causes the wheel to rotate sufficiently for one of its arms to project into the container path so the moving containers will force further rotation until the wheel becomes locked automatically in the blocking position.
