  • Patent number: 6091456
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a circuit arrangement for producing an electronic program journal. The data of upcoming programs, contained in received television and/or radio signals, are evaluated and are stored and displayed according to specific sorting algorithms. The thus received and sorted data are displayed in the form of an electronic program journal. This data can be called upon for tuning the apparatus based on a simultaneous coordination of the transmitted data, such as channel data or frequency data, to the individual programs.

  • Patent number: 4184106
Abstract: A television vertical deflection circuit is disclosed. A sawtooth generator is connected to a driver circuit and this circuit is in turn connected through a capacitor to an output amplifier, which powers vertical deflection coils of a television receiver. A first voltage source is connected through a forward diode to the output amplifier. A second voltage source is connected through switching means to the output amplifier. A signal from the driver circuit to the base of a transistor of switching means shuts the first voltage source off and turns the second voltage source on.

  • Patent number: 4056758
Abstract: An improved circuit for suppressing the occurrence of a sharply-focused light spot on the screen of a television receiver when the set is turned off is described. A normally conductive, controllable electronic switch is normally effective to maintain the brightness control grid of the cathode ray tube blocked, such switch assuming its non-conductive state only during the presence of the normal forward sweep portion of the deflection voltage to impart a positive step in voltage to the control grid to permit the now-moving light spot to be visible on the screen. During the flyback portion of the deflection voltage, or equivalently during the disabling of the TV set so that no forward sweep voltage is present, the controllable switch reverts to its "fail-safe" conductive condition to immediately restore the negative blocking voltage on the control grid to inhibit the beam current and thereby the formation of the now-stationary light spot.
