Patent number: 12657544Abstract: Techniques and solutions are provided for defining and executing a process controller representation of a business process model. The business process model has a plurality of objects arranged in a hierarchy. Objects at multiple levels of the hierarchy are used to generate one or more of a service, a strategy, or a method of a process controller representation. A method of the process controller representation calls another process controller service or another process controller strategy. The business process model can be associated with multiple process controller representations, which can be associated with multiple, different computing systems.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2023Date of Patent: June 16, 2026Assignee: SAP SEInventor: Gerhard Schick

Patent number: 12632811Abstract: A new methodology for describing business processes and permissible process variants is introduced. Additionally, an allowed system status and involved master data objects with read and change authorization can be defined for process step. If a user wants to run the defined process in a BPM product, the system connection may be made from an authorized central solution manager system (connected to all systems in a landscape) so it is possible to run predefined processes. As soon as a process step shall be executed, a central cloud service can be executed. The central cloud service can access and analyze selected objects. The execution system, which may be a completely different system than the system that defined the business process, can then execute an associated process step, and a process pointer will store the data in involved systems and set a new status.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2023Date of Patent: May 19, 2026Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Frank Wernze, Gerhard Schick

Patent number: 11829909Abstract: Technologies are described for determining possible routes using pre-processing operations. The pre-processing operations determine possible routes from an origin location to a destination location by dynamically generating representations of the transportation networks at runtime. For example, the pre-processing operations can dynamically determine a geographic area, and/or multiple sub-areas, that covers the origin location and the destination location. Possible routes from the origin location to the destination location can then be determined using only those locations within the geographic area and/or sub-areas. The locations that make up the possible routes can be provided for route optimization that utilizes transportation schedules and/or additional transportation requirements.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2020Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Frank Wernze, Gerhard Schick

Patent number: 11775925Abstract: Technologies are described for determining route proposals for shipment of cargo using unique location identifiers (ULIs). For example, a pickup ULI and a delivery ULI can be received. The pickup ULI and the delivery ULI are in the ULI data structure format defined herein. A first geographic area representing a pickup leg can be determined for shipment of the cargo from the pickup ULI to a first transportation network location and a second geographic area representing a delivery leg can be determined for shipment of the cargo from a second transportation network location to the delivery ULI. The main leg of the shipment occurs between the first transportation network location and the second transportation network location and travels through one or more defined transportation networks. Route proposals can be generated for shipment of the cargo through the pickup leg, main leg, and/or delivery leg.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2020Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Frank Wernze, Gerhard Schick

Patent number: 11003676Abstract: Techniques and solutions are described for providing integration objects that can be used to enhance data retrieval, and can be used to provide shared data access for multiple applications, and to allow access to application functionality through an interface. The integration object includes a plurality of integration data objects, at least a portion of which are mapped to data objects stored in one or more data sources. The integration data objects can hold values stored in correspondingly mapped locations of the data objects, such as in a value field. A reference field of the integration data objects can hold reference information regarding a location of a value in a respectively mapped data source. At least a portion of the integration data objects can include a defined sequencing with one or more other integration data objects.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2018Date of Patent: May 11, 2021Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Frank Wernze, Gerhard Schick

Patent number: 6206892Abstract: An instrument for removing ticks from the skin of a person or animal and which includes a handle portion and a pickup device on one end of the handle portion. The pickup device includes a circular base wall having a V-shaped slot, and cylindrical jacket joined to the base wall. The cylindrical jacket includes a radial passage which is aligned with the open end of the slot. In use, the base wall is placed on the skin and the base wall is then slid along the skin to cause the tick to be received in and engaged by the slot, with the body of the tick entering the cylindrical jacket.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1999Date of Patent: March 27, 2001Assignee: Fortuna Vertrieb Dr. G.
