  • Patent number: 11970366
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a handrail disinfecting device for a handrail of a passenger transport installation. The handrail disinfecting device has a plurality of light-emitting diodes that can emit germicidal electromagnetic radiation in the region of their light cone. A pass-through segment of the handrail disinfecting device is divided into at least two sectors and has a carrier having planes that are arranged in the sectors. The light-emitting diodes are arranged on the carrier such that they are oriented according to the planes. In one of the sectors, there are two planes that are arranged in parallel with the longitudinal extension of the pass-through segment and so as to be mutually inclined at an angle of 100° to 160°.

  • Patent number: 11945686
Abstract: The disclosure relates to monitoring a state of a physical passenger transport system. In an aspect, monitoring includes use of an updated digital double dataset that reproduces characterizing properties of components of the physical passenger transport system in an actual configuration of the passenger transport system after assembly and installation thereof in a building, in a machine-processable manner. At least one detection device is arranged in the physical passenger transport system, which detects a load profile which is transmitted to the updated digital double dataset. A set of rules is used to convert the load profile into modified characterizing properties of virtual components. Through the monitoring, changes and change trends on the components are tracked and evaluated using the updated digital double dataset by calculations and/or by static and dynamic simulations.

  • Patent number: 5626253
Abstract: Apparatus for storing and dispensing bulk materials such as sand, gravel and coke and which has at least one base emptying aperture. The apparatus includes a frame formed in the general shape of a box and a container formed in the general shape of a box for vertical movement within the frame. The frame includes at least one vertical strut at each corner connected by horizontal struts and four metal side plates. The container includes a guide attached at each corner formed to slide along the corresponding vertical strut at that corner. A plurality of roof-shaped webs are connected to and extend between the metal side plates extending along the length of the frame and are positioned to provide an aperture between adjacent roof-shaped webs.

  • Patent number: 4396879
Abstract: A charging circuit in an electric fence installation, comprising transformer or equivalent circuitry having series and parallel inductances and capacitances, wherein a solid state control switching device is provided in the energization line, which automatically opens the line at the time that the charging of the series capacitance represented by the fence-to-ground capacity is at or nearly at the upper peak value of the transient voltage which occurs.

  • Patent number: 4211277
Abstract: The heat exchanger is constructed with a plurality of fittings which are disposed in the flow passage. Each fitting is constructed of at least two groups of webs with the webs of each group disposed in spaced parallel relation and in angular relation to the axis of the flow passage. Also, each group of webs is disposed in crossing relation to the webs of the other group. The ratio of web width (b) to diameter (d) of the flow passage is in the range of from 0.08 to 0.5 while the ratio of web spacing (m) to the diameter (d) is in the range of from 0.38 to 0.9. The fittings permit improved heat transfer with reduced pressure losses and a relatively small total area.

  • Patent number: 4170446
Abstract: The plastics processing machine employs a mixer which has a static mixing device formed of at least one insertion member composed of guide elements in layers which form flow channels. The hydraulic diameter d.sub.h is made no more than eight millimeters (8 mm) in order to obtain a high mixing quality. The hydraulic diameter may vary along the mixer, for example by decreasing from the inlet end to the outlet end.
