  • Patent number: 10422018
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for producing metallic semi-finished products by means of remelting and/or remelt-alloying. Here, the material is melted selectively locally in a melting capillary in the material volume by means of high-energy, focused radiation, the melting capillary is moved through the material and the material is cooled down at a high cooling rate by means of a cooled heat sink, which is located close to the melting capillary and coupled to the material in a well heat-conductive manner.

  • Patent number: 5211447
Abstract: In a safety belt fastening device for a safety belt system having a belt-tightening device which acts on the fastening device of the belt and a fastening tongue which can be latched in the fastening device, whereby the fastening device comprises a fastener body having a fastening mechanism for the fastening tongue and a spring-loaded release button which acts on the fastening mechanism, it is ensured that even at the end of the belt-tightening process the operating button is within reach in an accessible position for the person who is strapped in. To this purpose, it is provided that the release button is formed in two parts with two button portions which are coupled together, which are movable in relation to each other and of which one button portion follows the movement of the fastener body during the belt-tightening process and the other button portion, after the completion of the belt-tightening process, stands in the operating position preset by the rest position of the fastener body.

  • Patent number: 4767161
Abstract: A safety belt arrangement, especially one having a lap belt as a constituent of the belt system. One end of the lap belt is connected to a part that is secured to the vehicle, and the other end of the lap belt is provided with a belt buckle part. An anchoring member is provided as a carrier for the other belt buckle part, with the ends of the lap belt, as well as the anchoring member, being connected with a tensioning mechanism that operates in opposite directions. This tensioning mechanism is disposed between the anchoring elements that act as guide elements for the lap belt portion and for the anchoring member, which includes a cable section. The tensioning mechanism is secured to the one end of the lap belt and to the anchoring member via connections that are freely movable in the direction toward the guide elements, and are also movable relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 4627639
Abstract: A safety belt system, especially for motor vehicles. The system includes a three-point safety belt, a self-locking belt reel-in mechanism mounted on a structural part of the vehicle, and a clamping mechanism for the belt strap of the safety belt. The clamping mechanism has at least one movable clamping jaw, and is movably disposed and guided on the structural part. A drive mechanism is provided for effecting movement of the clamping mechanism. To better adapt the geometrical path of the safety belt system to the body proportions of a strapped-in occupant, to thereby more reliably prevent endangering forward movement of the body of the occupant, the clamping mechanism is disposed, along with its drive, in the structural part of the vehicle in such a way that they are vertically adjustable.

  • Patent number: 4616850
Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting the height of the upper attachment or guide fitting for the shoulder belt of a safety belt system, particularly in motor vehicles. The apparatus has an arrangement for the preferably automatic adaptation of the height position of the attachment or guide fitting to the seated position of the person to be strapped in. A device provided in addition to the fitting senses the position of the belt strap with respect to a parameter of its operative connection to the person strapped in, and triggers a reaction to the situation ascertained. The problem exists that the height adjusting apparatus directly follows all movements of the person strapped in because of the direct coupling of condition detection and signal output.

  • Patent number: 4615540
Abstract: A safety belt system, especially for vehicles. The system has a three-point safety belt, a self-locking belt winding mechanism which is mounted on a structural part of the vehicle, and a clamping mechanism for the belt. The clamping mechanism is disposed on the structural part of the vehicle, and has at least one movable clamping jaw. The problem with a basic safety belt system of this type is that in particular the slack in the belt at the body of the strapped-in person, together with the belt elongation which additionally results due to the stretching of the belt, lead, upon activation of the clamping effect, to a forward shifting of the body, thus endangering the person who is strapped in. This problem is inventively solved by movably guiding the clamping mechanism on the structural part of the vehicle, and by providing a drive or control mechanism for the movement of the clamping mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4564219
Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting the height of the upper fixing or guide fitting for the shoulder belt of a safety belt system, particularly in motor vehicles. The apparatus includes a guide rail mounted on part of the vehicle body, and has a guide slot and recesses in which at least one associated locking member engages. This locking member is mounted on a sliding member which carries the fixing or guide fitting and is capable of being locked in or released from the recesses via a handle. The locking member or locking members are symmetrical in construction with regard to their locking function, are mounted on the sliding member, and are operative in the guide rail, and especially are operative on both sides of the central longitudinal line of the guide rail. Moreover, the handle is designed, by a finger pressure construction, to be operated with substantially no force of the hand and arm, using one hand.

  • Patent number: 4518174
Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting the height of the upper fixing or guide fitting for the shoulder belt of a safety belt system, particularly in motor vehicles. The apparatus has a mechanism for automatically adjusting the vertical position of the fitting to the sitting position of the person who is to be strapped in, and there is the problem that a strict correlation between the setting of the seat in question and the vertical position of the associated fixing or guide fitting cannot take account of every combination of physical proportions and sitting positions to produce an optimum belt angle at which the belt meets the shoulder of the wearer. One reason for this is that even the associated columns or uprights of cars vary in their positions.

  • Patent number: 4294458
Abstract: A ski brake has two pivotable prongs, one on each side of the ski and having coaxial pivot shafts which are mounted on the ski to extend across the ski adjacent the upper ski surface and are each integral with an actuating arm depressible by a ski boot against spring action whereby to turn the pivot shafts and swing the brake prongs to an inoperative position. The spring action is exerted by way of a link member hinged to the ski by one end at a fixed position spaced lengthwise of the ski from the coaxial pivot shafts and connected by the other end to both actuating arms so as to be displaceable therealong when the actuating arms are depressed.
