In order to permit the driver of a vehicle to operate such units as conveniently as possible, and to avert his attention as little as possible during driving operation, it is proposed to design the operating device such that the operating device has a support body that prescribes a fixed position of the operating hand and has operating elements in the form of a control wheel and keys surrounding the control wheel.
