  • Publication number: 20020060416
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for alignment of sheet material (1) which is processed in a machine which processes sheet material (1). To do this the sheet material (1) is aligned into one conveyor plane (9) laterally and with respect to its twisting (6) with reference to its conveyor direction (22). The position of the sheet material (1) in the conveyor plane (9) is always acquired at a point (35) on one side edge (24) of the sheet material with a position which is defined to the reference edge (23) of the sheet material (1).

  • Patent number: 4849822
Abstract: A method for electronic page montage for reproduction technology with recording of the pages on a recording medium by means of a recorder which comprises a multi-track recording element whose resolution is finer than the resolution of the image information, whereby, before the recording, the entire end page is divided into sub-areas within which the image information are to be recorded with the recorder in accord with a layout.

  • Patent number: 4419691
Abstract: Refined recording of line contours in electronic reproduction technology, whereby the recording takes place by means of several selectively drivable recording beams within a raster point with finer resolution than the scanning. The control signals for the individual beams are obtained from the density values of the surroundings of the raster point to be recorded which are stored during the scanning.

  • Patent number: 4276567
Abstract: The invention is applicable in the sphere of the preparation of printing blocks or forms by means of electronic color scanners. The recording of line elements (lettering, signals, edge spike, etc.) by such scanners is concomitantly performed by selective energization of separate recording beams with greater line resolution than half-tone recording. Without losing time during recording, a stair-shaped distortion of smooth line contours is reduced in such degree that it no longer makes itself felt in troublesome manner in practice.
