  • Patent number: 5032033
Abstract: A printer carriage is carried by the guide bars of a printing unit with the help of busings and is moved along the guide bars by means of a traction mechanism. The traction mechanism is attached to the printer carriage and/or the bearing elements, in such a way that a compensating torque is exerted on the printer carriage or the bearing elements. The compensating torque counterbalances the torque generated during reversal of movement so that the carriage does not rock when it reaches an endpoint of its travel.

  • Patent number: 4688692
Abstract: Apparatus for joining sheet metal elements of a housing for an electrical appliance has a centering lug, disposed on a first sheet metal element, with a wedgeshaped recess formed therein. Furthermore, disposed on a second sheet metal element is a centering hole to seat the centering lug, the latter penetrating the centering hole, but limited by a stop, until the top surface of the second sheet metal element with the centering hole and a bevel of the wedgeshaped recess form a wedgeshaped seating hole with a self-locking aperture angle for seating a spring wire elastically engaging the seating hole.

  • Patent number: 4380019
Abstract: A mechanical device for monitoring the supply of ink in an ink storage reservoir carried by the printing carriage of an ink printing device is situated at one end of the path of movement for the printing carriage. The ink reservoir is mounted on the printing carriage and contains a freely reciprocable tappet member having an upstanding stem extending through the housing cover of the ink reservoir which is freely movable up and down in accordance with the level of remaining ink supply. The mechanical monitoring device is operated dependent upon the vertical position of the tappet stem each time a printing operation is begun by virtue of movement of the printing carriage toward the monitoring device so that the relative position of the tappet member may be sensed by the device.
