  • Patent number: 7259809
Abstract: A display for showing text and graphical images includes an electrically conducting layer which is connected to a shield potential, such as a ground potential, for shielding the display from external electromagnetic disturbances and preventing radiation from the display of electromagnetic disturbances generated by the display.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 20, 2001
Date of Patent: August 21, 2007
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 5926233
Abstract: A receptacle has an inset and a housing for the fastening of an LCD screen. The screen has contact surfaces and consists, at least in part, of a plastic injection molding. Plastic springs which are formed by molding on the inset prestress the LCD screen against the housing, and thus fasten it in the receptacle. In this connection, a heat-sealing foil at the same time is prestressed against the contact surfaces of the LCD screen and against the contact surfaces of a plate.

  • Patent number: 5061085
Abstract: In a thermostatic bimetallic measuring element, an adjustment lever (5) which bears a thermostatic bimetallic body (6) is held, on the one hand, by a collar (24) of a setting eccentric (12) and, on the other hand, by a holding section (14) which is formed on a section of the adjustment lever (5) which engages through a slot in a rear plate (1) of the thermostatic bimetallic element and rests against the back of the rear plate (1). By turning the setting eccentric (12), displacement of the adjustment lever (5) is possible around an imaginary of actual pivot shaft which engages into the slot.

  • Patent number: 4848264
Abstract: A pointer for an indicating instrument is constructed of material transparent to light, the pointer having an elongated shape and a cross section having two inclined sides directed towards an apex, and a lower side opposite the apex and facing a face of the indicating instrument. The lower surface is provided with a layer of coloring, substantially opaque to the light, and giving a colored appearance to the pointer upon viewing the pointer by looking straight down upon the indicator face or at an angle thereto. The inclination of the pointer sides provides for respective refraction and total internal reflection to viewing rays of light which make visible the coloring.

  • Patent number: 4768461
Abstract: A support (2) which serves for fastening a pointer (1) on a pointer shaft has, towards the top, a holding part (12) which is developed as an expansion rivet. The pointer (1) has a central passage (13) through which the holding part (12) engages. A cap (3) is provided with an expansion pin (14) which is adapted to be pushed from above into the holding part (12) when the cap (3) is mounted. In this way, the expansion rivet is expanded and the pointer (1) is thereby attached firmly to the support (2). A projection (16) on the holding part (12) which engages into a recess (17) in the pointer (1) determines the exact angular position of the pointer (1) with respect to the holding part (12).

  • Patent number: 4322835
Abstract: Housing for measuring instruments comprising at least two interconnectable housing elements, at least one of which includes the viewing window, and a resilient stirrup clamp including shanks engaging two opposite wall surfaces of the housing, having recesses and/or projections provided on two opposite wall surfaces, which are formed by at least two housing elements, on each side of a separating line, which recesses or projections correspond with projections and/or recesses of intermediate elements on the wall surfaces, being engaged by the stirrup clamp under elastic pressure directed toward the two wall surfaces.
