    Abstract: A fluid filter for liquid media with a removable filter insert and a drain opening having a spring-loaded closure element associated therewith. The closure element is held by the filter insert in a closing position that seals the drain opening, and separates from the drain opening when the filter insert is loosened or is removable. The spring is designed as an elongated spring having a U-shaped design.
