  • Patent number: 11984246
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a microelectronic device and methods of forming a microelectronic device. In an embodiment the microelectronic device includes a semiconductor die and an inductor that is electrically coupled to the semiconductor die. The inductor may include one or more conductive coils that extend away from a surface of the semiconductor die. In an embodiment each conductive coils may include a plurality of traces. For example, a first trace and a third trace may be formed over a first dielectric layer and a second trace may be formed over a second dielectric layer and over a core. A first via through the second dielectric layer may couple the first trace to the second trace, and a second via through the second dielectric layer may couple the second trace to the third trace.

  • Patent number: 4392465
Abstract: A self-igniting internal combustion engine which includes at least one piston having a rotational symmetrical piston trough arranged therein. The piston trough has a conical side wall and an inlet port which is less than a largest diameter of the piston trough. An eccentrically arranged injection nozzle is provided for injecting fuel in a wall wetting phase into the piston trough. At least one fuel jet from the injection nozzle impinges approximately in a plane centrally onto the side wall. To avoid a wetting of the bottom of the trough with still liquid fuel, an annular bead is provided having a sharp annular bead edge. A collar is arranged at the neck of the inlet port, with the collar constituting a discontinuous transistion to the inlet port and causing in the area of the collar a swirl formation counteracting the wall-wetting fuel rising toward the inlet port.

  • Patent number: 4341194
Abstract: A water cooled internal combustion engine, especially for utility vehicles operated with a gas which is stored in a liquid condition in a fuel tank. The internal combustion engine includes a cooling water cycle containing a thermostat, a cooler and a water pump. A fuel vaporizer is heated by the cooling water cycle of the internal combustion engine with an air intake preheater likewise being heated by the cooling water cycle. A throttle valve is arranged between the air/gas mixer and working cylinders of the engine. An externally heated water cycle is additionally provided in such a way that the externally heated water cycle is connected functionally in parallel with the cooling water cycle.

  • Patent number: 4099725
Abstract: A seal of the upper area of a wet cylinder liner with respect to the crankcase of a reciprocating piston internal combustion engine and a method of making the same, whereby a liner collar of the cylinder liner rests with a collar surface on a support surface at the crankcase; a thin layer of silicon rubber or of other deformable sealing material is applied between the collar surface and the support surface either prior to or during the pressing-in operation of the cylinder liner into the crankcase by applying such a quantity of the silicon rubber or deformable sealing material into an annular space formed by a recess in the cylinder liner underneath the liner collar and/or by a chamfer at the crankcase, that toward the end of the pressing-in operation the sealing material is pressed between the collar surface and the support surface and forms thereat a layer.

  • Patent number: 4080937
Abstract: An air-compressing four-cycle internal combustion engine with direct fuel injection, especially for the drive of motor vehicles, in which a first injection valve is provided for injecting fuel into a combustion space which is so constructed and arranged that good outputs with favorable fuel consumption are attainable; in lieu of the first injection valve, a second injection valve can be selectively operated which is fed with fuel from a second injection pump or from a separate pump plunger and which is so constructed and arranged that low combustion noises are achieved without regard to output and consumption.

  • Patent number: 4069888
Abstract: A traffic system, especially a public local passenger traffic system, with self-propelled trackless steerable vehicles travelling on special lanes. Beam reflectors, especially sound reflectors are arranged along the entire length of the lane true to the shape of the road transmitting and receiving apparatus, especially sound echo sounding or radar apparatus, are provided in each vehicle which influence the vehicle steering system to provide an automatic vehicle cross guidance in accordance with the contact-free distance detection of the reflectors.
