  • Patent number: 6513976
Abstract: In a linear guide arrangement (10a) with an elongated guide rail (12a) and a guide carriage (14a) that can travel thereon in the lengthwise direction (L) of the guide rail (12a), a surface of the guide rail (12a) facing the guide carriage (14a) is covered by a cover band (24a). A band securing element (32a) is placed in the vicinity of each of the two longitudinal ends (30a) of the guide rail (12a). The two band securing elements (32a) jointly secure the cover band (24a) at least with respect to its displacement in lengthwise direction (L) of the guide rail (12a), wherein each of the band securing elements (32a) at least impedes movement of the cover band (24a) relative to the guide rail (12a) directed towards the other band securing element (32a). At least one of the band securing elements (32a) can be non-positively engaged with the cover band (24a) as well as with the guide rail (12a).

  • Patent number: 6443619
Abstract: For protecting a guide rail (10) between two guide carriages with fixed spacing (A) running on the guide rail (10), a covering means (20) which adjoins each of the guide carriages (12) and has a rigid configuration in the axial direction (X) over a substantial part of its length is provided between the two guide carriages (12).

  • Patent number: 6435719
Abstract: A linear guide device comprises a guide rail (10) with a longitudinal axis (12) and at least one guideway (16), as well as a runner carriage (14) guided at the guideway (16), in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The guideway (16) is covered before and after the runner carriage (14) in the direction of the longitudinal axis (12) substantially over its entire length by a cover strip (56) which in one embodiment lies against two cover strip contact zones (58), disposed on both sides of the guideway (16), of the guide rail (10). The guideway (16) and the cover strip contact zones (58) are in particular formed at a rail body of the guide rail (10) which is of a uniform base material. The cover strip (56) protects the guideway (10) against contaminants which may cause damage to the guideway (16) and impair the smooth running and guide precision of the runner assembly (14) on the guide rail (10).

A band securing element (32a) is placed in the vicinity of each of the two longitudinal ends (30a) of the guide rail (12a). In accordance with a first inventive concept, the two band securing elements (32a) jointly secure the cover band (24a) at least with respect to its displacement in lengthwise direction (L) of the guide rail (12a), wherein each of the band securing elements (32a) at least impedes movement of the cover band (24a) relative to the guide rail (12a) directed towards the other band securing element (32a). In accordance with a second inventive concept, at least one of the band securing elements (32a) is non-positively engaged with the cover band (24a) as well as with the guide rail (12a).

  • Patent number: 5509736
Abstract: A main body of a bearing (12) is guided on a guide rail (10) by at least one rolling-element circuit (14, 16) and receives at one end an end plate (13). A deflection duct (50, 52) is recessed in the end plate and receives a deflection piece (60), which crosses the deflection duct (50, 52). A lubricant-supply system (86) for the rolling-element circuit (14, 16) is provided inside the end plate (13). The lubricant-supply system (86) is partly within a deflection-piece receiver duct (58) which accommodates the deflection piece (60). The lubricant-supply system (86) includes a lubricant channel (92) which runs entirely within the end plate (13) so that it is encapsulated completely by the material of the end plate (13).

  • Patent number: 5044779
Abstract: In a linear ball bush of part-annular form it is proposed that part-annular seals are secured against rotation about the cage axis by shape-locking engagement with a cage and are movable radially in relation to the cage axis over their substantially entire circumferential extent. Further it is proposed that longitudinal seal strips each comprise a root part received by a longitudinal groove of the cage and a tongue part resting on the shaft, these longitudinal sealing strips being provided with projections at their ends which rest under a longitudinal tension against an axially directed support shoulder of the cage.
