    Abstract: An extension apparatus for attachment to a tailgate of a vehicle has a first panel with a generally flat surface, a second panel hingedly connected to the first panel. The second panel is movable between a first position in surface-to-surface contact with first panel and a second position in coplanar relationship to the first panel. At least one strap is provided for securing the first panel to a surface of the tailgate.
