Patent number: 6956446Abstract: An isolator with resistive termination and carbon steel housing wherein required magnetic performance is combined with improved efficiency of transmission of heat from termination to the heat sink. The improvement is achieved due to the copper/aluminum plug that mechanically and electrically connects the soldering base of termination to the base of isolator, which in operation is installed on the heat sink. The plug is pressed into the housing from the base side to provide tight coplanarity tolerance to exposed end of the plug and the base without any secondary machining. The termination is soldered to the opposite end of the plug, which is flush to or slightly above the top surface of the housing. Thus, magnetic flux required for operation of isolator is looped through a material having good magnetic susceptibility, and heat from the termination is transmitted to the heat sink through a material having high coefficient of heat transmission.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2003Date of Patent: October 18, 2005Assignee: Renaissance Electronics CorporationInventors: German S. Patent number: 6359792Abstract: A compact structure for a passive microwave device such as combiner/divider having a microstrip line PCB disposed in a housing with connectorized ends. The structure includes a cover screwed down to a bed in the housing around the PCB. The bed is slanted toward the PCB. A periphery portion of the cover is bent by screws according to the slanted bed. This bend causes stress within proportional limit on a stress-strain curve for the cover material, so the cover tends to spring back. By the trend, the cover's outline edge seals the housing against RF leakage. No any gasket is needed. For better compactness of the structure, push-in type connectors are used. The cover overhangs press-in portions of the connectors. The bed has smooth transition from its wider portions at side walls of the housing to more narrow portions at connectorized ends. The cover has rounded corners. Because of this, the bend action spread from sides to ends and no screws at ends needed, that contribute to compactness of the structure.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2000Date of Patent: March 19, 2002Assignee: Renaissance Electronics CorporationInventor: German S. Patent number: 6337607Abstract: A structure for a high power low IMD passive microwave device, mainly for automated placement. The structure includes substantially flat housing having slots and a cover having notches. Slots and notches form openings to snugly receive printed circuit boards (PCBs) having signal transmission lines on both sides. Also, on both sides of PCBs opposite to the signal lines, the ground planes are located. The passive device is disposed between the housing and the cover, and electrically connected to the signal transmission lines inside the structure that is totally closed and sturdy. Bottom surface of PCBs and that of the housing are coplanar. PCBs are reinforced on both their sides by supports extended from the housing. Such a structure provides homogeneous leads and best conditions for automated placement. Inductance in signal lines is well balanced by capacitance to ground planes that in combination with structurally homogeneous leads provides low IMD.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2000Date of Patent: January 8, 2002Assignee: Renaissance Electronics CorporationInventor: German S. Patent number: 5122014Abstract: A beach anchoring device for easy and reliable installation and fast removal of the stick-like objects, mainly beach umbrellas, on sand/soft ground beaches. Also might be used to anchor fishing rods, tents, canopy posts and other post-supported structures mainly on beaches. The device includes a tubular pole 1 with centering projection 6 and slightly twisted propeller-like blandes 5, and a handle 2, that fits the holes 7 in the pole 1. The pole might be screwed in the sand by the handle inserted in the holes 7. When installed in the sand, the handle is removed from the holes and an umbrella is inserted into the pole together with the handle which locks the umbrella stick in it. The sand that partly fills the pole is compacted by the umbrella stick and, interacting with the bottom end portions of the pole provides reliable anchorage. To remove the device, it should be screwed out of the sand.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1991Date of Patent: June 16, 1992Inventor: German S. Genfan

Patent number: 5042828Abstract: In the bicycle disclosed herein, the axle of a driving wheel is journaled in a yoke at one end of an elongate frame and a steerable wheel is mounted at the other end of the frame. A rocking column is pivotally mounted on the frame for rotation around an axis which is concentric with the driving wheel axle, a backed seat being mounted on the other end of the column. The high speed element of a concentric speed transforming mechanism is connected to the axle and the low speed element is connected to the rocking column.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 1989Date of Patent: August 27, 1991Assignees: Charles W. Patent number: 5041031Abstract: A swimming frame for competition in swimming, swimming instruction, muscle strengthening, and entertainment in the water comprises a pair of floats (1), a clamping unit (2, 3), and a paddle unit (4, 5, 6). It might be used by everyone regardless of the ability to swim. The paddle unit might by modified giving an additional possibility to practice butterfly-like and crawl-like style of swimming. A swimmer being clamped between rigid (2) and flexible (3) portion of the clamping unit is producing the push-pull movements of the paddle unit. When he pushes the unit, the paddle (4) is rotated up to horizontal position by the water pressure against its front. When he pulls the unit, the paddle is rotated up to vertical position by water pressure against its back. Because of the difference in the paddle hydroresistance between push and pull movements the swimming frame will be propelled by the swimmer.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1990Date of Patent: August 20, 1991Assignees: James T. Patent number: 4964357Abstract: A boat comprising a tube-like hull (1), a hydrofoil (2) fixed to its front portion, a pair of wings (4) hinged to each side of its rear portion, a fin (20) fixed to its rear bottom portion, an out-board-type motor (9) provided in its center of gravity, and a steering lever (14) that can be rotated and also tilted. Rotation of the lever (14) causing rotation of the motor (9) and steering the boat. Tilting the lever causing lifting or lowering the wings (4). Each wing (4) has a float (5) fixed to its end. When the boat stops and at low speed the floats are in the water. When the boat at high speed an operator gives lift to the floats out of the water. At highest speed an operator puts the wings in parallel with the water surface and a ground effect is used. Central location of the motor contributes the boat to go into hydroplaning at low speed and gives lift to the rear portion of the boat using water pressure created by a propeller. The most controlable boating and efficient usage of motor power are provided.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1989Date of Patent: October 23, 1990Assignee: James T. MerchantInventor: German S. Genfan
