  • Publication number: 20250035785
Abstract: An optoelectronic sensor for the detection of objects in a monitored zone has a light transmitter for transmitting a transmitted light beam, a scanning unit rotatable about an axis of rotation for the periodic scanning of the monitored zone by the transmitted light beam, a light receiver for generating a received signal from light beams remitted by objects in the monitored zone, an angle measurement unit for determining the angular position of the scanning unit relative to the sensor, and an evaluation unit that is configured to generate measured values with reference to the received signal that indicate whether and in which direction an object has been detected. A device is configured to determine an angular speed of the scanning unit about the axis of rotation and a correction unit is configured to determine a self-rotation of the sensor with respect to the axis of rotation of the scanning unit.

  • Publication number: 20240418835
Abstract: A multiplane scanner includes a light transmitter for transmitting a light beam into a monitored zone, a light receiver for receiving the light beam reflected by objects in the monitored zone, an evaluation unit for evaluating a received signal of the light receiver, and a polygonal mirror wheel that is rotatable about a first axis of rotation for a periodic deflection of the light beam. The polygonal mirror wheel has a plurality of mirror facets arranged in ring form and tilted at least partly with respect to one another with respect to the first axis of rotation to scan an angular section of the monitored zone multiple times at different heights per revolution of the polygonal mirror wheel. A beam deflection unit sets an angle of incidence of the light beam on the mirror facets and is arranged between the light transmitter and the polygonal mirror wheel.

  • Patent number: 9383200
Abstract: A laser scanner (10) detects and determines distances of objects comprises a light transmitter transmitting light in a plurality of consecutive individual pulses. A rotatable deflection unit (18) for the periodical deflection of the transmission light beam (16) into the monitoring zone (20) and an angular measurement unit (30) generates angular position signals (62) in dependence on an angular position of the deflection unit (18). An evaluation unit (32) identifies a received pulse associated with an object from a histogram (110) taken from a histogram memory (32a, 32b) to determine the distance of the object by means of a light propagation method. The histogram (110) is collected over a time interval which is associated with the angular position signal (62). In this connection at least two histogram memories (32a, 32b) are provided in order to collect a first histogram and a second histogram in overlapping time intervals.

  • Patent number: 8724096
Abstract: An optoelectronic sensor for the detection and distance determination of objects in a monitoring area is provided having a light transmitter for transmitting a plurality of light pulses, a rotatable deflecting unit, an angle detector, a light receiver, and an evaluation unit which is configured to collect a plurality of reception pulses in a time histogram to determine the light time of flight from the sensor to an object. The evaluation unit is configured to select a respective group of reception pulses that is collected in a histogram based on the angular position signal and to assign the measured value for the object distance determined from the histogram of the group to a detection angle identified by the angular position signal.
