  • Patent number: 8291336
Abstract: In a medical system architecture having a modality for the acquisition of examination images, a device allocated to the modality for processing the examination images, a device for the transmission of data and the examination images and a device for storing the data and examination images, the device for processing the examination images is fashioned as an RIS client for the exchange of text messages as well as for the display of an RIS client window and for the creation of RIS interaction masks, and is connected via a network connection of the devices to an RIS server for communication with the RIS client on the devices.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 26, 2001
Date of Patent: October 16, 2012
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Siegfried Bocionek, Heiderose Pfaff, Detlef Becker, Karlheinz Dorn, Gerold Herold
  • Patent number: 7526488
Abstract: A computer executes quasi-simultaneously a plurality of applications which process data combined to form data records. Only data of a single data record is processed at one time. If an application loads data of another data record, this is transferred to a central management component which forms a list of the applications in which descriptions of the functionalities which are executed by the applications are also stored. The management component causes the other applications to terminate the processing of the data of the first data record.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 18, 2003
Date of Patent: April 28, 2009
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Gerold Herold
  • Patent number: 7039226
Abstract: In an apparatus and a method for modeling momentary conditions of a medical object dependent on at least one time-variable body function, at least one further status value of the time-variable body function is calculated on the basis of the geometry of the medical object that is acquired from data obtained with a medical imaging method for at least one status value of the time-variable body function, and the geometry of the medical object is made available approximately synchronously with the currently measured status value of the time-variable body function.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7010175
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for matching at least one visualized medical measured result of a test subject with at least one dataset of the test subject by means of landmarks, landmarks with respect to the displayed test subject are defined in every visualized measured result to be matched and every dataset to be matched. The geometrical arrangement of the landmarks in every measured result and each dataset is analyzed by a first algorithm, and subsequently an allocation of corresponding landmarks of the at least one visualized measured result and of the at least one dataset to form a landmark pair ensues with a second algorithm.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6895268
Abstract: In a system, method and workstation, images of a first subject are acquired with an image signal acquisition unit, the position of the image signal acquisition unit is determined, the position of a second subject is determined and the position of the second subject relative to the image signal acquisition unit is also determined and an image of the second subject is mixed into an image of the first subject acquired with the image signal acquisition unit.

  • Publication number: 20040107218
Abstract: A data processing system is for processing medically relevant data objects including image data and/or metadata. The system has a first electronic data processing device for viewing and editing the data objects and has a data store and a first interface for outputting data objects. It has a second electronic data processing device for presenting data from data objects in medically relevant reports using report masks, the second electronic data processing device having a mask memory for storing the report masks and having a second interface for receiving the data objects. The first data processing device uses firmly prescribed data formats which the user cannot alter, while the second data processing device uses report masks, which the user can generate and/or alter even without knowledge of the syntax of the data objects, in order to present data from data objects.

  • Patent number: 6603868
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for presentation of images reproducible at a display monitor, digital image data of an examination volume of a subject are registered with an image pickup system, such as a medical examination installation, and at least two images of the examination volume with arbitrary orientation of the image planes relative to one another are simultaneously displayed at the display monitor. At least one marker is contained in each image that indicates information about the position of the image plane of the other image with reference to the image wherein the marking is displayed.
