Abstract: A sheet assembly for use with a mattress in a correctional institution. The sheet assembly includes a mattress section with a pair of overlapping sheets that are connected together along at least two sides and that form an interior space sized to contain the mattress and a cover section that includes a single sheet. A seam extends along a common side of each of the mattress section and the cover section with the seam connecting together the mattress section and the cover section. The cover section is movable relative to the mattress section between an open orientation away from the mattress section and a closed orientation that overlaps with the mattress section.
