  • Publication number: 20240090786
Abstract: The subject matter of the invention of the present application is non-invasive equipment for monitoring blood flows and/or respiratory cycles of a human or animal body, comprising at least one segment of conductive elastomer with variable resistance arranged so as to extend over the circumference of the body element and sensitive to the length of the circumference of said element, means for capturing said length by virtue of said variable resistance and supplying a signal representing said length, and means for processing said signal, comprising means for extracting parameters of the blood flows and/or respiratory cycles to be monitored.

  • Patent number: 11832923
Abstract: A medical device for measuring blood flow through a blood vessel of a mammal includes a conductive elastomer having a variable resistance. A frame is at least partially surrounding at least a portion of the conductive elastomer, the conductive elastomer is suspended within the frame. A mechanical amplification element is slidably engaged to the conductive elastomer, the mechanical amplification element being configured to slide within the frame and to contact skin of the mammal over the blood vessel when the frame is positioned over the blood vessel, the mechanical amplification element being configured to be displaced when the artery pulsates and changes the resistance of the elastomer.

  • Publication number: 20210403293
Abstract: Heave balance device (1) can balance a lifted or supported load (8). The load can be lifted by a hoisting device (10) or it can be supported. The heave balance device comprises a first frame (2) and a connection unit (22) that can be suspended, e.g. to a hoisting device. Further a moveable carrying unit (32) allows for carrying (suspending or supporting) a load. The device comprises a transmission that couples the connection unit and carrying unit, wherein said transmission is arranged to guide the connection unit and the carrying unit to move along a guideline with respect to each other, the transmission having a spring force balancing arrangement (4) with one or more leverage units, such as one or more pivoting arms (50, 51), and with one or more configurable (gas- or) hydropneumatic springs. A method comprises suspending the load via a (heave) balance device. Further a kit of parts for hoisting devices is provided to allow load decoupling.

  • Patent number: 5035574
Abstract: A pump housing, for pumps of high yield and low lift, has a suction casing, a suction mouth and a volute arranged in the concrete substructure of a pump station. The volute is made by assembling thin-walled mould wall parts, mounting them in place, and thereafter casting fresh concrete around the resulting mould wall, thereby ensuring that reinforcing elements of the mould wall are connected with reinforcing elements of the concrete to be cast. The suction casing and suction mouth are preferably made in the same way. Thus, the use of complicated casings for casting concrete elements can be avoided.
