  • Patent number: 11283636
Abstract: A method for enabling a charging of packet switched data transfer between an authorized customer and a network. The method includes transferring a total data volume via at least a first data path and a second data path between an equipment related to the authorized customer and a hybrid access aggregation point (HAAP) as an access to the network. Each of the at least a first data path and a second data bath use a different access technology for transferring its respective part of the total data volume. The total data volume is determined as a sum of the respective parts of the total data volume transferred in both the first path and the second path. The total data volume is used by a central charging unit for a charging.

  • Patent number: 8811963
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for establishing a telephone connection to a mobile communications terminal device (11) via a mobile communications network (5, 7, 9), with at least one mobile telephone number being assigned to the mobile communications terminal device (11), wherein a supplement i.e. prefix or suffix as a control parameter is added to the mobile telephone number, the supplement being independent from the mobile telephone number. Before establishing the telephone connection an analysis of this supplement is made and the reachability of the mobile communications terminal device (11) is determined. The “reachability” is that the calling party only wants to make the call if the called party is available in real time i.e. does not want to be forwarded to voice-mail. Another example is that the call should only be established for calls that remain in the same network, so as to save costs. The supplement indicates whether the establishment of a telephone connection shall be initiated or suppressed.

  • Patent number: 8260277
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system for controlling an arrangement of a configuration comprising two or more user devices (multi-device configuration) of telecommunication user devices in a public telecommunication network. According to the invention, the supplementary services of the public telecommunication network associated with the first user device or with an identification chip connected to the first user device are activated in such a manner that changes of the supplementary services are effective in the other user devices or the identification chip connected to the respective additional user device of the multi-device configuration at the same time or with a temporal delay.

  • Publication number: 20120008764
Abstract: A method of routing a communication request of a first party to one of a plurality of second parties uses a distribution system. The method has a first step including transmitting the communication request by the first party to the distribution system. A second step includes transmitting a first party identification information by the first party to the distribution system. A third step includes unambiguous mapping of the first party identification information onto a particular one of the plurality of second parties via the distribution system using a deterministic algorithm that includes a hash algorithm. The deterministic algorithm stochastically distributes a plurality of differing first party identification information among the plurality of second parties. The third step includes calculating a hash value from the first party identification information using the hash algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20110201353
Abstract: Process for operating a cellular land mobile network which is formed by a plurality of cells, several cells being combined at one time into a routing area, by means of which the cell terminals checked into the land mobile network can be located and addressed in this routing area, the cell terminals checked into the routing area being detected and to set up a connection to a cell terminal, paging of all cells of this routing area to the cell terminal taking place, when leaving the routing area a location up-date being executed, the routing areas being dynamically formed depending on the network parameters and/or parameters of use.

  • Publication number: 20100267392
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for setting up a mobile radio connection to a mobile station (MS) in a cellular mobile radio network. According to said method, each cell of the mobile radio network can be identified by an identification character and a plurality of cells form a localisation area of the mobile radio network. In order to localise the mobile station (MS) inside a localisation area, paging is regularly carried out from a switching centre (MSC) in pre-definable time intervals, and a first mobile radio connection to the mobile station (MS) is set up by the paging, whereupon a paging response message is generated from the mobile station (MS) and transmitted over the existing first radio connection.

  • Patent number: 7493102
Abstract: A method for determining charges in real time for value-added services in a telecommunication network, having an intelligent network structure, in which a caller selects a value-added service by dialing an associated destination number. This destination number is intercepted in an intelligent network element of the telecommunication network and is converted into a special access number for the value-added service. A connection is established between the intelligent network element and the value-added service provider through the use of this destination number. The value-added service provider transmits the applicable rate for the use of the requested value-added service to the mobile telephone network operator in the form of a new destination number for the requested value-added service. The new destination number is evaluated in the intelligent network element and a connection is established between the caller and the value-added service with the new destination number at the stated rate.

  • Patent number: 7206570
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for providing price information to subscribers of a digital mobile communication network. The aim of the invention is to inform the subscriber of the cost of a call he/she is about to make, in a simple manner. To this end, when the subscriber dials a call number, he/she obtains information on the rate to expect for a communication by means of short messaging service (SMS).
