  • Publication number: 20220275161
Abstract: There is described an isocyanate-based polymer foam having the combination of: (i) a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of greater than or equal to 26.5% when measured pursuant to ASTM D2863-17a, and (ii) a Total Volatile Organic Content (TVOC) when measured pursuant to VDA 277 of less than or equal to 225 ?g/g C. Preferably, the foam is produced from a foamable composition comprising: an isocyanate; a reactive compound containing: (1) at least one hydrogen which is reactive with the isocyanate, and (2) one or both of a halogen and a phosphate moiety; a blowing agent comprising one or both of water and carbon dioxide; and a catalyst; wherein the reactive compound is present in an amount in the range of from about 30% to about 95% of total ISO equivalents excluding water, if present in the foamable composition.

  • Patent number: 9807936
Abstract: A swath roller apparatus is adapted to be attached to a swather, where the swather is operative to cut standing crop plants and lay cut plants in a swath as the swather moves along the ground in an operating travel direction. A drum is rotatably attached to an axle that is adapted to be movably attached to a rear portion of the swather such that the axle is oriented substantially horizontally and perpendicular to the operating travel direction, and such that the drum moves up and down and rolls along a top of the swath exerting a downward anchoring force on the swath. A bias element is operative to exert a bias force on the axle, and a bias force control is operative to vary the bias force to vary the anchoring force.

  • Patent number: 4910675
Abstract: A system for automating the processing and packaging of prerecorded diskettes, including a label printer and applicator for applying the printed labels as the diskette moves along a conveyor, a diverter for rejecting faulty diskettes, a sleever for inserting collator cards into predetermined positions in an output bin where the sleeved diskettes are placed, all under automatic control of a control processor.

  • Patent number: 4560293
Abstract: A computer-controlled machine for printing business documents, such as, checks, check vouchers, check registers and other forms used in quantity. Paper stock of varying dimensions, color or other characteristics is loaded into individual hoppers or trays in a paper input module. Under computer control, predetermined numbers of sheets are extracted from the plural hoppers in a prescribed sequence and transported, in proper alignment, to a first printing station where alpha/numeric characters are printed on the paper sheets by means of a non-impact xerographic printer in accordance with preprogrammed instructions. Next, the partially completed documents are serially transported, again in proper alignment, to a further printing station where MICR characters are impressed on the sheets using a drum and hammer-type printer, again with format, spacing and positioning controlled by a preprogrammed microcomputer system.

  • Patent number: 4342406
Abstract: A liquid dispenser having an outer tank and an inner tank or trap at the bottom thereof with an inlet from the outer tank features a proportioning device at the inner tank inlet which includes an inverted cup-like member with a floating check ball therein. The parts are arranged so that the check ball offers decreasing impedance to flow from the outer tank into the inner as the liquid level in the outer tank decreases, whereby to provide a substantially constant rate of flow into the inner tank regardless of the liquid level in the outer tank.

  • Patent number: 4074829
Abstract: A vending machine apparatus of a type which can be manually actuated once a sufficient amount of money is inserted therein to thereby dispense a selected item is provided with an ejector assist mechanism and a mechanism for preventing the item being dispensed from tipping over during the dispensing thereof for thereby assuring a positive delivery of the item and for preventing more than one item from being dispensed at one time. An item holding structure includes a pair of flanges of a particular shape for causing items being dispensed from interfering with one another during the dispensing process.
