Abstract: The present invention relates to combination treatments for cystic fibrosis, particularly combinations of modulators of the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR) and gene therapy.

Abstract: Methods of prophylactically treating fibrotic conditions using a synthetic lamellar body composition are provided, such as conditions of the lung, skin, gastrointestinal system, genitourinary system, heart, peritoneum, kidney, liver, and mucosa. In particular the present invention is concerned with lung injury which may be characterised by increased pulmonary vascular permeability. Suitably the lamellar body composition for use in the prophylactic treatment of fibrotic or pro-fibrotic conditions comprises phosphatidylcholine, cholesterol and optionally at least one phospholipid selected from phosphatidyl serine, phosphatidyl glycerol and phosphatidyl inositol to provide an anionic lamellar body.
